For those that missed it in the network upfronts thread, Glee gets the prime post Super Bowl slot next year, as the big game is on Fox

So Jesse's angle is to get Rachel to believe that the Vocal Adrenaline Coach is her real mother so she will leave New Directions and sing for Vocal Adrenaline. Interesting...

Excellent episode. Whedon did a great job directing and Neil Patrick Harris might just be one of the funniest characters the show has seen. I loved the line "So just to be clear, you're going to give me the spot if I don't cut Glee? Okay, cool."
I could have sworn that the producers said Idina Menzel wasn't going to be Rachel's mom, but I guess that's not the case. Either way, I'm glad they made Shelby Rachel's mom; Lea Michele and Idina Menzel look too much alike to not take advantage of it. I'm still not 100% convinced that Shelby is Rachel's mom though; either way, it has to be part of a ploy to get Rachel to leave New Directions and come join Vocal Adrenaline.
The Safety Dance was definitely one of the show's best dance numbers. Enjoyed seeing Kevin McHale dancing with the rest of the cast for a change.
Dream On is up there as one of my favourite Glee performances. Matthew Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris just nailed it. I Dreamed A Dream was very good as well, but in a different way...very emotional and heartfelt. Dare I say Lea Michele out-sang Idina Menzel?
I liked Piano Man too. Neil Patrick Harris has such an expressive face and really stole the scenes he was in. I got a kick out of him practicing saying "Hooray" and the flashback with his mullet and magic trick, lol.

from the video you posted it looks like they did film the show, as the person who taped it w their phone shot most of it at the video screen, so there is hope. i wouldn't be surprised if its an extra on the pt 2 dvd set

"Was Mandy Patinkin in on this too?" That such a theater joke it absolutely slays me.
I'm ready to say this was my favorite Glee episode yet. Not only was Dream On awesome, but the Safety Dance came out of nowhere to be one of the best numbers they've done on the show. Just so elaborate and cool. I love good dance numbers and that one topped it.
Some nice moments from Tina too, who has been a neglected character this season. She was due for her "standalone". And Idina Menzel and Lea Michelle together has been a dream pairing since I found out she was going to be on the show. I also liked Sue being shown to be a competent teacher and motivated at least somewhat by education.
And NPH and Joss Whedon both brought a lot of style to the show.
Just can't say enough good things. And next week looks absolutely EPIC.
