Re: Smallville -- Season Finale -- "Salvation" -- 05/14/10

I will be very angry if the show is not MUCH better than last years final.

The fight was soooo short and not much action, buildings should have fallen and Clark should have been pulled out the ruble barely alive by Chloe. Beginning of this year should have had a few people trying to take the RedBlurs place, then Clark/RebBlur slowly comes back in the 3rd/4th show.

The fight needs to be epic. The theme of this season and this last show of the season could have been the "Superman Returns" story line...can't wait to see how they do.

Good episode. I was watching the clock though and thinking there's only 3 minutes left and clark and zod hadn't fought yet.

Looks like they are really setting up a Darkseid story next season. I was thinking that was Granny Goodness outside Tess's room there knitting.

Looked like it stripped them of their powers and made them human?

I haven't watched the episode yet so I don't know what they are going with it, but it's supposed to take away the powers the Kandorians get from Earth's sun.

That was possibly the best Smallville season finale in years. I knew in the 1st 5 minutes we were in for a treat. Can't wait until next season!!!

What I always find odd is how the show defines being kryptonian as with powers and without them they are somehow human, they are still kryptonian no matter what and not sure how blue kryptonite would change that, they have no powers on their home world.

Re: Smallville -- Season Finale -- "Salvation" -- 05/14/10

best.. sucker...punch....ever.. lol

over all a pretty good ep and some classic cliff hanger "we know we will be back next season" goodness there..

ya figure he hangs on to his powers enough to land/survive the fall.. Ends up in the hospital and then has no powers for an ep or two, long enough for Lois to go "Well Clark is not the blur".

Then it's back to whatever main store line/bad guy and or group they have for the next season.. Being if I heard it right Oliver was saying "They aren't Kandorians" as he was being swarmed?

Well, that was a gigantic leap from last season's humdrum finale. They sure know how to cock-tease the fans don't they. First the reflection of the costume in Clark's eye, then the old lady going to Tess' dead(?) body, Ollie's "they're not Kandorians!", Lois finally figuring out who the Real Blur is, and that final sacrificial fall. Gonna be a long wait 'til the next season. Shit.

Re: Smallville -- Season Finale -- "Salvation" -- 05/14/10

Phenominal season finale. I think this was probably one of Smallville's (Metropolis) best season finales ever.

The 2013 tease at the beginning with reflection of Superman, the "Look Up the Sky" and Perry White as the editor of the Daily Planet was awesome!! Erica Durance looked really hot in the tight skirt and dark rimmed glasses. Also, loved the reflection of the Superman suit in Clark's eyes. Now we are finally getting somewhere! Loved the music cues that mimicked John Williams score.

It was only a matter of time before Lois finally figured out that Clark was the Blur and I'm glad they finally did it for the finale.

The final fight scene with Clark and Zod was amazing. That was a very well chererographed sequence. The sucker punch by Zod was great.

Season 9 was a very solid season overall. I loved the cliffhanger too.

It's going to be a long 4 months.

I, too, loved the finale. I thought for sure they would end up with Clark going off with the Kandorians, and Lois on a plane to meet Pery White not knowing who Clark really was. I was pleasantly surprised when they did the complete opposite of what I was thinking. It was great!

Re: Smallville -- Season Finale -- "Salvation" -- 05/14/10

Enjoyed the episode.

One thing I didn't get was... In the fortress, Tess was pounding Zod with some 'Kryptonite' Brass Knuckes. He was bleeding, falling down, etc.. Then he just gets up like he not hurt and takes her out. What's up with that?

Eh, they've always been inconsistant with the kryptonite.
