FWIW, I remember it being mentioned in the first BSG of the original series that those cylons were not build by man but reptilian beings that eventually disappeared. I always had it in the back of my head that maybe the Visitors were the cylons original masters.

It seems like the Vs are attacking us with Universal Healthcare.... the Cylons attacked by blanketing the Twelve Colonies with nuclear weapons until the surface was barely livable.
