Pretty good episode overall. I enjoyed that the story was more focused on the characters & relationships and the music just helped guide the episode.

The stuff with Puck was pretty damn hilarious. And I enjoyed the whole jealousy battle with Mercedes & Satana even though I think Santana was in it only for the attention.

I was in tears laughing when Rachel lost her voice while singing that Miley Cyrus song. It's good to see that she isn't always Miss Perfect when it comes to her singing.

For the most part, the relationship drama with Kurt and his Dad was good. It did find his final number with the huge Kurt sign in the background a little annoying.

mainly because in the past people have gotten pissy if you mention songs before they happen.

It kind of seemed like an homage to Chicago

I think it's a considerate gesture

More "Gypsy" with the name in lights and where the song is from.

Yup.

And the scene worked especially well if you're familiar with Gypsy, and the parent-child relations in that show.

I thought that article was completely ridiculous (the whole point of acting is to pretend to be somebody you're not), but why boycott Newsweek for a single article. Isn't the writer entitled to his opinions?

Sure. Just like people are entitled to encourage others not to support Newsweek.

Newsweek obviously had no problems supporting this author. And if you buy the magazine, it's not like you can boycott one author's articles.
