Me too. Doppleganger Ted taking apart the robot and ripping off its head was awesome. [comic geek]It was like Magnus Robot Fighter in real life [/comic geek]

I've loved this season so far, and it has some of the most genuinely funny moments from the entire series, but this episode was weak. The Clue joke was great though.
What I really love about this series is that the overarching storyline is almost written as a satire of other series that bait the audience with romantic tension, and the smaller storyarcs work really well. It's actually interesting seeing Ted grow as a person, lily and marshall's relationship, and Robin's misadventures.

I really thought I would hate this episode because of the guest stars, but they fit in well to the moral of the story and making Ted look like a douchebag.

My big problem with the episode: they never explained why Marilyn Van Snootington was getting wicker catalogs and Soap Opera Digest.
Also, the "Ted as Cultural Genius" stuff seemed like a setup for a "OK, kids -- that's not quite how it really happened" joke, but that never happened.
