the preview for this episode looks good kind of Matrix / Terminator spoof.

So as per the last episode (or two episodes ago), which was is flat butt and which one does Abed want to nail? I think that Abed wants to nail Annie, and Britta is flat butt.

Yeah it looked pretty cool.

When did this show turn into a line of movie spoofs? Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed all those episodes but at first the show was about the group and then somewhere down the line each episode turned into it's own movie spoof. Hopefully that premise doesn't run out and then all of a sudden the show sucks because the writers have nothing else for the characters to do.

Re: Community -- "Modern Warfare" -- 05/06/10

According to the show creator, they received a previously-anticipated order for an additional 3 episodes for this season which they planned to put before the final 3 episodes, but since they weren't sure whether or not they'd get to make those episodes so they couldn't contain any real character development, which is probably why recently it's been more spoof-heavy. If they had never gotten the order for the additional 3 episodes this would have been the "spoofiest" episode.

If that didn't make any sense, here's a link to the person who actually knows what they're talking about explaining it:

I have been enjoying the spoofs.. the charachters themselves are not all that compelling from a story point of view - but the spoofs are like that little bit of sugar that makes the medicine go down.

Absolutely brilliant. Senor Chang makes a great Chow Yun Fat, and Abed was on target as usual.

My favorite line by far was "Jeff Winger, you son of a bitch! I thought you were dead!"

I think this episode just put this show over Modern Family for the best new Comedy.

It was damn near perfect.

I have to agree, I think this was possibly the best episode of any sitcom I can remember in recent history. It's one that I didn't delete off my DVR solely so I can rewatch the paintball scenes.

Now I want to play paintball or laser tag.

Great episode.

Agreed. Hilarious episode. Probably going to have to buy the DVD set just because of it.

Loved the paint time bomb.

OMFG...

Predator, Die Hard, The Warriors, Hard Boiled, Scarface, and tons more all packed into 25mins of awesome and then throwing paintballs into it.

It is true. No other show can top this homage packaged wonderkin of coolness.

"Come with me if you don't want to get paint on your clothes."

Hilarious episode. Even the bit before the opening credits was packed with funny stuff.

"Jeff and Britta is no Ross and Rachel. Which is why, ironically--and hear this on every level--you're keeping us from being Friends."

Abed is the best!

Britta wears Hello Kitty underwear

The past several episodes have been great but this blows even them away. It's going to be a long summer after the finale airs.
