For the record, the Asian dude was a reference to "The Killer" not "Hard Boiled" (apart from the toothpick)

Awesome. Looking forward to many more years of this show.

This show is surprising the heck out of me. I thought it was going to be a good show at the beginning but I didn't know that they were saving their best for last.

Last week episode on their take of the Mafia/Frat House movies and this week take on Action movies, was simply phenomenal.

I loved when he was dragging his foot when he was entering the Deans office. Total Die Hard moment!

Loved it.

One of, if not the best episode of any show this season.

I have to confess, I have watched it 3 times.

This was unbelievably funny. The image of the Predator explosion with all that green paint hitting the windows was just such an amazingly funny image.

Freaking high-lary-ious... my God, I can't recall ever laughing so hard watching a sitcom... "priority registration" classic.

My wife and I love Community... but it really doesn't help my confidence when Jeff Winger has his shirt off... because I know my wife is secretly in love with him. Damn you Winger!

Exactly what I was going to write. Plus, he bellows, "Deeean!" just like Bruce Willis bellowed, "Haaaan!" when he limped into the room at the climax of Die Hard. Wonderful moment.

Good lord McHale is ripped. But he had to have been flexing the whole episode. Hilarious.

I know it's hyperbole, but i agree. This is easily the best episode of any sitcom within the past 10 years... Possibly ever!

It took me an hour to watch because i kept rewinding (to rewatch all the awesome lines and scenes).

Not to mention the gun taped to his back.

I kept waiting for him to pull the gun off his back, I just wished they would've shown it a second before so we could see the gun coming off the tape.

Yeah, like slowly raising his hands. Maybe if the dean had pulled a gun on him...

speaking of the dean, he continues to steal EVERY single scene he is in. brilliant casting.

"he makes me uncomfortable"
"Still in the room..."

Watching this for a 3rd time a few of my fave lines are:
"Raisons don't belong in chocolate cookies" (I have a t-shirt saying this)
"I'm one of those douchebags who brings their own equipment!"

My favorite Die Hard moment was earlier in the episode when Britta tried to shoot Winger after they had sex. Jeff Winger: "Uh oh, no paintballs Hans? what, do you think I'm stupid?"

You got ripped off - they spelled "raisins" wrong.

No, silly. Maybe it's like a culinary philosophy. Chocolate cookies don't need a reason...they should just be.

Does anyone know of a scene by scene breakdown of all the references in this episode?

My favorite part of the entire episode, actually.

Hate to bump a 4 month old thread but I just caught up on this.

Awesome, awesome episode. Some others brought up Spaced and I completely agree. It almost felt like a lost episode of that series.

I found it funny in an episode full of homages to other films that Jeff makes the announcement that the Glee club should write their own songs!

But he is right. Glee sucks because it starts these bandwagons that see kids think they have a right to start that sort of crap!

This episode made me put Community on my DVR as a season pass.

Wow, calm down Grandpa. It was a harmless joke about Glee.

And I don't know what you're rambling on about at the end there.

I think Community and that episode is just great so it's not that I don't like the show. In fact I say to people watch that episode first and if you get "it" then the rest is just as good.

I'm hardly a Grandpa (though my bad back and grey hair would disagree!).

I'm just feed up with the amount of TV shows about singing and dancing and everything in between. In London I cannot walk along the southbank of the Thames with a twat in a vest parkouring in front of me. It's just another craze that just gets silly.

Remember when Jackass came out? All of a sudden we had shows were people had apparently being doing those things for years and no one had noticed them before!
