Some were Hanna Barbera too.

Episode was decent, nothing spectacular.

Yeah a friend of that told me this morning. Now I know what its like for others who dont know what is being parodied and hate it

While it certainly wasn't the best of the season, I still got some good laughs out of it. Activist groups are obviously going to be pissed, but what else is new? I myself wondered what it was that seemed sort of familiar about Nathan, I didn't make the connection to Mitch Hedberg though. Great observation :)

I give it a 7/10.

Well, he was also the one that sold Jimmy steroids

Yep. Nice Looney Tunes references.

I liked that too --- but felt kind of uncomfortable laughing at the disabled theme.

I have no clue if this is common knowledge or not, but for what it's worth, I'm pretty much 100% sure that Nathan is actually Sean Costello from the Matt and Trey produced documentary that started in 1998 and released in 2003, "How's Your News?", which also became a TV show on MTV in 2009:

You guys really need to watch the episode with Rocky Lockridge. The crying is hilarious:

Oddly enough, I had just watched that episode of Intervention off my DVR immediately prior to this episode of South Park. The timing could not have been more immaculate.

Gotta love one episode that covers Intervention, Meatballs, and Pete Puma (if only they had worked in "How many lumps would you like?").

I never saw the episode but saw a preview and heard it on O&A one morning so as soon as I saw him buying duster I was like "Oh come on say the Walking on Sunshine line" and boom there it was.

In Soviet Russia, shark jumps you.

Did I say Russia, I meant Colorado. Best gag of the show.

I found nothing funny at all about this one either.

Better parody on all the "intervention" reality stuff was The Office "Intervention" episode a few years back where Meridith's hair catches fire at the office Christmas party, then Michael drags her physically (while she's kicking and screaming) into a rehab.:D

My wife watches Intervention, so I got the references. I thought it was great. That huffer girl is REALLY hard to watch, I saw part of that episode and wanted to slap her.

So is the canned air thing like huffing paint?

If anyone cares, they did a later Intervention episode following up on Allison and she actually kicked the inhalent addiction and turned out alright. Pretty remarkable difference in her.

Didn't find this funny at all, except the "restorestephenbaldwin.org" part - and this is why: http://www.restorestephenbaldwin.org

I understand the good intentions meant by this, but... really?

It's part of the reason why canned air suddenly skyrocketed in price a few years ago (as well as some stores requiring ID to purchase it); several teenagers died from the practice.

The can I had at work even had a thing that said "contains bitter-ant to discourage inhalation".

Pretty amazing how normal that girl seems now, and she looks about 10 years younger too. Also good to see she's not afraid to acknowledge that her episode was both sad and hilarious.

Parts were mildly amusing but pretty weak episode overall. No laugh out loud moments and the story was pretty lazy compared to the more inspired episodes.

It was a bit better on my second viewing.

Wouldn't mind seeing Nathan show up every now and then.

And the shark, too. We need more shark.

I enjoyed this episode

Now Nathan and Mimsy remind me of a 80s cartoon which had a small gangster type mastermind and a big hulking dumb as a piece of wood sidekick/muscle

That is what i think Nathan and Mimsy were based on, anyone remember this cartoon ?
