I guess I don't know for sure and can't look at the moment, but don't you only need to be 13 to sign up for facebook? I know my nephew had started his account before that (a preteen not doing what he's told, shocker LOL) and he's certainly not the only one.

Re: South Park "You Have 0 Friends" - 4/7/10

Really funny episode. I knew Farmville was a crazy phenomenon, but it gets even crazier when you see the money people put into it (http://uk.videogames.games.yahoo.com/blog/article/10131), or that people get fired because they play it so much at work (http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...ryId=125381106), or the tattoos they get (http://www.geekytattoos.com/farmvill...tractor-tattoo).

To me, facebook is what you make of it. I am a facebook user, and I use it solely to keep up with friends. I don't accept just anybody that wants to be my friend (in fact, the best trick is not even to "ignore" the request. if you do that, they may request again. I just never accept or ignore the request - that way whenever that person tries to ask you again, it tells them they have already asked), I limit it to real friends and family. I occasionally post pictures/videos (but mostly i use Picasa for pictures), and update my status maybe once a week. I don't play ANY games on Facebook (Yahtzee, Mafia Wars, Farmville, etc.)

Can it be addictive to some? Of course it can, just like anything else. But Social Networking has its benefits. Facebook itself isn't dumb. It's what people do with facebook that's dumb.

Season 14 truly is turning in to one of the best seasons so far. Every episode has been a home run. This one had me on the floor.

I very rarely watch episodes of this as they air but I checked this one out. This was just an excellent episode. Really funny stuff.

I haven't watched South Park in a while but I had to watch this episode. I thought it was a great episode and their jabs on FB spot on.

I was just on chatroulette and counted 15 dicks in about just as many minutes. One guy in stockings, and another guy was hiding behind something and jumped out naked when he saw my cam was up. I'm going back on now to be one of those naked guys.

Re: South Park "You Have 0 Friends" - 4/7/10

This was a great episode and is absolutely spot on

I have to admit, when my friends number goes down, i want to know who it is. I have way too many friends to check manually so i got hold of a very cool script you can run in Mozilla which tells you exactly who is no longer friends with you and why (often it's because they have hidden or deactivated their profile).

link to the script

http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/58852

It is also true when you unfriend someone and do bump into them in real life, it is awkward. I removed this guy from work (not working in my exact office, but same organisation) because he was pesting girls on my friends list to add him when they don't know him. And when i saw him at work, he practically ignored me, doesn't bother me

It is also true that your social status on facebook to an extent is linked to the number of friends you have. But in reality some people only have true friends as friends whereas others have ever tom, dick and harry.

Reading this thread, first I was laughing out loud, and then I was rolling on the floor laughing.

My favorite part was more low-key. Stan staring disconsolately at his friend count:

I never pay attention to how many friends I have, but last night I was tweeting a lot and noticed that I lost one follower during that time. I wouldn't have been paying attention if not for this episode.

The best part of this episode is that Trey and Matt didn't go for the horrible gun violence suicide we all knew was coming. It had a nice, sweet ending.

Re: South Park "You Have 0 Friends" - 4/7/10

I have so many friends (in real life) that bug me to get on Facebook. I'm not on there or Twitter, I am on MySpace, but I haven't done a damn thing in 4 years, have 0 friends, I even killed off Tom.

A+ episode.

Re: South Park "You Have 0 Friends" - 4/7/10

This was fucking hilarious. I felt really bad for the kid though. I know peeps with facebook and all they care about is their friends and post bullshit. My buddy and I were talking about FB this weekend and was wondering why he even made it, he doesnt use it and hates seeing people post their bullshit; he says theyre pathetic. He gave a long funny rant

I posted elsewhere but the only real reason for facebook is to spy

One of my coworkers who refuses to get a FB page told me to watch this ep, because he loved it so. I'm thinking I should tell him to join Facebook and friend Kip and only Kip
