Sons of Tucson -- "Family Album" -- 04/04/10

Sons of Tucson

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Robby invites his teacher to dinner at the house after the suspicious woman begins to question Ron's unusual behavior. Meanwhile, Ron and the boys, who lack any pictorial history, set out to rectify 15 years of no family photos.

It doesn't look like this show is going to make it. Ratings have been low and Tyler Labine already signed on to another Pilot next season.

The fact that Fox held it back until the end of March means it's likely dead.

That really sucks, I'm starting to like this show. I knew it wasn't going to last. It's had some pretty funny moments.

Not that anyone here gives a shit, but it was cancelled today. The remaining episodes will be burned off this summer.

At least Fox gave it a... well it gave it a Fox chance anyway. I liked the show and too bad it did not make it.

That was Fox's plan anyway. They were going to air 2 more episodes and hold the rest back till June. Way to go, Fox.

Labine signed on for a CBS Pilot a few days ago, so it was already pretty much guaranteed the show would be toast. Funny thing is, he passed on the Pilot a month or so ago to show Fox he was serious about Sons.

I was really starting to dig this show. Oh well, as long as I can catch Labine in something, i'll be happy. There's just something about his delivery (especially when he's caught in a lie or backed into a corner, which is, well, all of his lines) that I love.

It's why I watched Reaper as well. Will watch anthing he's in.

Sorry to see this go. Seems like they really didn't give it much of a chance, but what do you expect from Fox?

I don't agree with this statement. FOX's track record for producing good sitcoms has been dicey. And I think this show was doomed from the start, especially since it launched it March.

I think they have done a good job in recent years supporting shows with mediocre to bad ratings.

Ex: Terminator..they could have easily pulled the plug during the 1st few episodes of season 2, but ordered a full season.
Fringe, which got renewed
Dollhouse, which got a 2nd season despite awful ratings.

I watched Reaper in spite of Labine. I really don't get his appeal, but obviously he has fans. He always seems to be the first cast member with a new project.
