Directv May Save Damages
Any others you want them save?

The fate of another critically acclaimed but ratings-challenged drama series may once again rest in the hands of DirecTV.
Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that Sony is talking to DirecTV’s 101 Network about partnering on a possible fourth season of Damages. The cost-sharing arrangement would be similar to the one DirecTV and NBC forged with Friday Night Lights, which means future seasons of Damages would air first on DirecTV with a second window on FX. Con't in link.

I'm not surprised that they want to save it. However, this has to be one of the hardest TV shows to write for and I can't imagine how they could come up with a fresh 4th season even though Glenn Close and Rose Byrne are contracted to do the show for 7 seasons.

Also, Glenn Close's salary would probably cover half the budget of a Friday Night Lights episode. I'm skeptical that Directv would be interested unless Sony makes some budget cuts.

Right, I wouldn't expect to see as strong of a supporting cast as we've had with the seasons thus far.
