If they retooled it to have compelling (or even more than mildly interesting) stories and characters that I actually cared about, even a little, then I'd be really excited. As it is, the most enthusiastic response I can muster right now is "meh".

I liked the 1st 10 episodes alot. I know alot of hardcore SG-A and SG-1 fans had problems with this show, but I liked the serialized nature and I thought the production value was amazing. I watched most of SG-A's 5 year run and enjoyed it for the most part, but I was glad they tried something different and gave this show a running arc as opposed to self contained episodes. As for the characters, I think they did a good job establishing them. I like Eli, Chloe, TJ (the blonde doctor), Camile (Ming Na) and even Col. Young. I know Robert Carlyle (Rush) is actually the lead of the show and to me he was the only one that came across as really unlikeable.

It might take me a while to get enthusiastic about this again, but hopefully it should be good. I believe some aliens are finally being introduced soon (if not here). Interestingly, I was watching some clips on Halo Reach development and they said one of the key aspects was to make the aliens alien again. For them, that means no speaking English. That gives them a huge sense of foreigness and mystery, which in turn allows for fear. If that approach is taken within the SGU setting then I think it could help bolster the grittiness of the show.

I am really hoping the communication stones are permanently disabled as they were the worst part of the first season (in a half-season of a show that had more problems with the story than I care to get into).
Getting rid of the stones is step 1 in fixing the show.

Finally, some external conflict!
This is probably my favorite episode so far just based on the fact stuff actually happened.

Im watching this ONLY because of Carlyle (and maybe Philips) but this show needs something to happen.

Not a bad episode. Didn't care for the CGI aliens. Seems less and less like a part of the Stargate franchise with every episode.
How did the communication stones become more important than the Stargate?
I'm going to get communication stoned now. The more I think about SGU the less I like it.

Thought this was a great episode.
Lots of action and loved the space battle with the aliens. I think this really served as a wrap up to the arc from the Fall and now we're going to start a new arc with the aliens and internal conflict on the Destiny. It was interesting to see that Rush confided in Camille and told her what actually happened.
Question: What is the name of the actress who plays the really voluptous soldier?
BTW, Alaina Huffman (TJ) is really hot. I never cared for her on Painkiller Jane and as Black Canary on Smallville, but she looks really sexy on this show.

It doesn't help that the costume designers on Smallville made a costume so unappealing that someone that attractive can't pull it off.

loved it. A true sci-fi show and the one lady had some huge boobs. Might have put one of my eyes out. It's been awhile since I watched the other episodes. Did her friend die in the hallway. It kind of look liked she was trying not to look at her when she stepped over her because she knew she would breakdown. I guess she could felt the same if it was random person.

I've watched every episode of this series and I still don't know any of the characters' names outside of Eli, Chloe, and Dr. What's His Name.

I'm well behind on some of my spring tv so I'm trying to catch up.
This was a good episode. I thought the CG was great - both the alien ships and the aliens themselves. I'm sure part of that is the budget hasn't been used a lot for the front half with the exception of the Destiny herself.
I guess Chloe needs to learn to not walk up to large bright holes that were just stuck in the roof from an alien race docking in the middle of a fight.
I find the Col and Dr. Rush situation interesting. Mainly because I think the Col was wrong (and has been a prick about the entire situation), but that's compounded by the fact Rush is an idiot and I can't/don't sympathize with him. Plus that civilian 'leader' is pissing me off too. They're stuck on the other side of the universe and they want to squabble leadership.
I hope Elie follows the path of Dr. Daniel Jackson and grows a spine. He's okay, but he needs to be non-whipped when it comes to Chloe. That sad fact is she has more of a connection to him on screen that the Lt.
