Parenthood -- "The Situation" -- 03/30/10

Parenthood

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
Drew helps Adam bond with Max, who rejoins the baseball team; Sarah gets chummy with Amber's teacher (Jason Ritter); Crosby feels pressured to have another kid; and Julia shows Sydney how to defend herself.

Looking forward to this. I've really enjoyed the 4 episodes that have aired thus far.

I just checked and Lauren Graham is 13 years older than Jason Ritter. If I were him, I would be all over that. Hot MILF. Hopefully he has better chemistry with her than the bald schlub barista.

Damnit, I was going to watch this tonight before I hit the sack and my stupid Tivo deleted it because it was getting too full. Going to have to watch this on Hulu.

For those who watched, any thoughts?

Not the strongest episode, but it definitely laid some decent groundwork for future character developments. That Max is only excited to practice baseball when Drew expressed interest was just heart-breakingly cute and sweet. Drew is really a good sport and deserves family like Adam in his life.

I will admit that the writing for Sarah's character is starting to wear thin on me. She realizes that her kids are f-ups/f'ed up yet constantly reacts to every action her siblings make as an affront to her, her kids and/or the way she raised them. It AIN'T all about you, bitch!

That said, her scenes with Jason Ritter were pretty nice.

It's too bad that Lauren Graham and Peter Krause are siblings on this show, because they have crazy hot chemistry together.

That's the same thing I thought. The scenes with the 2 of them were easily the best.

Did I miss a line about where Zeke was? I thought it was odd when he wasn't at the baseball game and then really odd when he wasn't at the big dinner at the house.

Anyone know anything?

It's a large cast, I'm guessing that outside of Peter Krause and Lauren Graham (and possibly the other siblings) they probably aren't contracted to appear in every episode to save some money.

Did this episode have anything to do with this guy?

Like the show. Hate Erica Christenson. Hate her character. Hate her face. I tune out when her scene comes up. Otherwise, love the show. Hate Erica, though.

PS: Even her TV daughter hates her.

The main problem I have with this show is why does that really pretty woman want that really ugly dude to father her baby?

She'd be better off following her first instinct to use a sperm donor.

That 'ugly dude' is engaged (in real life) to this girl:

Dax Shepard used to get the most tail in hollywood (go figure). now he's engaged to kristin bell. when that dissolves, he'll be getting tail again ...

Does it seem like everyone in the family is into everyone else's business?

I did find it funny when Max responded to Drew about baseball instead of Adam

I've been wondering the exact opposite. Why does the good looking guy want to father a baby for the ugly chick?

He likes balls being thrown at him and getting down into someones trunk?

Sounds reasonable to me

Re: Parenthood -- "The Situation" -- 03/30/10

Just watched this off Hulu

At Max catching a Pop fly ball and everyone acted like they won the Little League World Series.

I too am getting a sense that Drew might be conflicted about his sexuality. Looks to me like he's desperate to bond with Adam and do Manly activities like baseball.

I liked Jason Ritter and thought he had some decent chemistry with Lauren Graham. Better than the bald schlub from a few episodes ago.

I agree the Peter Krause and Lauren Graham do have really good chemistry together. If she wasn't playing his sister, she would make a much more believable wife or girlfriend to him than Monica Potter.

It was a good episode overall with the exception of Max getting on my nerves.
