That's what I'm talking about! I'm glad Hassan's daughter got away, at least for now. It's about time something started working in favour of the good guys.
At least Stephen Root is making the Dana Walsh storyline interesting. He's pretty funny as this parole officer, keeps spotting all her B.S. and calling her on it.
I bet President Taylor is going to have words for President Hassan when she hears he had all those classified United States documents, etc.

I knew it! Incredible!
EDIT: A few minutes after she escaped, I thought...that was too easy for 24. Then, not a moment later, Tehran's face pops up on screen.
That was pretty awesome. At least the President's daughter didn't die.
I dunno what that guy was thinking getting in the car, it was obviously too late when he got in. I thought Hastings was going to get in when he saw 30 17 seconds left and drive it out of there, but I guess not.
I was sort of hoping Stephen Root was going to die during the explosion, haha.
Halfway through and things are really picking up. Next week's episode looks incredible: "With no headquarters, no surveillance, and no time...CTU has only one weapon: Jack Bauer." I'm pretty sure CTU has always only had one weapon, Jack Bauer with support from a few people here and there.

Yup that was good stuff. Heres hoping we get a lot of hardcore action on the ground, like last season.

Thats what I'm saying. Your in your 8th season.... and youre recycling ALL the same shit youve done already. I can understand ya know during season 4 youre still doing the same dumb interoffice crappy filler stories...but by your 8th year you havent learned how to successfully execute the show WITHOUT recycling the same shit? Cmon...

So yes, they have used an EMP before. But why should that be a negative? The last time they used it that I can remember was in Season 4; I don't think they have used it between then and tonight's episode. This time the use of the EMP was very well-done; it was creative, unexpected, and dramatic.
And let's be honest here, there are only so many types of weapons and technology that one can use to fight another or cripple their enemy. What else could the terrorists have done but use an EMP to disable the nuclear tracking capabilities of CTU?
It made sense in the context of the show and I don't think the writers should be faulted for resorting to it. The terrorists needed to get around the nuclear detectors, and disabling CTU would permit that.
It's like saying...I can't believe Jack is using a gun to kill the bad guys again...there are only so many things the writers can use before recycling or inventing new weaponry or technology.
