Chuck -- "Chuck vs the Tic Tac" -- 03/15/2010

Description:
Spoiler:
Casey unknowingly commits treason and Chuck and Sarah must break him out of jail to clear his name. A dream fellowship awaits Ellie. Robert Patrick guest-stars as Colonel Keller: a figure from Casey's past.

I have no idea if that pictures if from this episode, let alone this seasons, but I thought it was different and looked good.

Last week was the first time this season I found myself eager to see the next episode. Can't wait for this one.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck vs the Tic Tac" -- 03/15/2010

I am a new Chuck convert. Over the past couple of months I've watched all of Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and I've recently caught up on Season 3. I love this show!

Last week's episode was great--I can't wait to see how Morgan handles knowing everything. Also, I'm curious about what the future holds for Awesome and Ellie. He wants to take her to Africa? I'd hate to see them leave the show.

I'm hoping for more Chuck/Sarah interaction this week, since there was relatively little last week. He's realized he's still in love with her, but now Shaw is in the way.

One thing I was unclear about from last week--did the Ring guys manage to successfully upload the information from the Castle, before they were taken out?

I believe that Shaw indicated the Ring was unable to broadcast any info to anyone outside the Castle. Maybe someone can remember the specifics.

What an unusual "dramatic" episode this evening. Nice change of pace. I was so glad that this show is in a cycle of new episodes; as this seemed like a mid-season finale a la Burn Notice where you have to wait 3 months before seeing new eps. Curious as to how these changes are going to affect everyone.

Nice resolution to Awesome and Ellie's story. I believe Devon is regaining some of his "Awesomeness" again.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck vs the Tic Tac" -- 03/15/2010

Wow. Totally thrown for a loop tonight. In a couple of different ways. (Things that happened and predictions gone wrong.)

There's no way there can't be some sort of shake up after tonight. I didn't expect resolution (at least in some small terms) on Casey's recent storyline. As far as final, I hoping not. (Although on some small level, after all he's given up, he deserves to have some resolution with everything that happened, although he'd be trading one passion for another and would he even know how to handle the new one.) I loved his message to Chuck at the end, though. (Although it looks like Sarah went and threw a monkey wrench into everything. haha)

Can't wait until next week. Glad I didn't watch the preview. (Although, a friend said "OMG" when she was watching it, so I'm hoping it will be as fantastic as this week's episode.)

For some reason my damn DVR did not record this, even though it had the red dot right next to it on the guide. It ended up recording 1 minute for some reason.

So now I'll have to download it tomorrow.

The thing I like dislike about the Shaw character is with the money they are surely paying Brandon Routh they could have had Anna back and the Buy More employees wouldn't have been cut back so much.

Not really. There will most likely be an episode in a few weeks where they need Casey, he saves the day, and he's back on the team. I imagine they'll dig a little bit with the daughter story before that.

As far as Sarah, Schwartz has already said if it comes back next season

Spoiler:
Chuck and Sarah will be a couple

As far as this episode, Morgan and Awesome's scene was great. Loved Morgan's reaction when he found out Awesome had been on missions. "Never saw you out there"

The Ring wasnt able to transmit any info they collected while in Castle due to the communication blackout they put on the Buy More.

One other thing that I forgot, this was only supposed to be a 13 episode season, not 19, and this was episode 10 so this episode was probably starting the build up for what they thought would be the season finale.

If this is the buildup then we are in for a wild ride.

Start buying your Subways again:

NBC's "Chuck" posted its all-time lowest rating Monday night.

With the start of Daylight Savings Time, many 8 p.m. shows tend to dip. Overall broadcast usage dropped 9% during the 8 p.m. hour. "Chuck" (5.8 million viewers, 1.9 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) took a rough knock, down 17%.

Tweets co-creator Josh Schwartz: "'Chuck' fans, it's time to get organized."

Fucking cockfucker. Why is it that Two and a Half Men consistently gets good ratings and this show is always on the fucking bubble?

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck vs the Tic Tac" -- 03/15/2010

I can't believe it. I hope ratings get back towards "normal" next week. This show is too good to be messed around with. NBC needs to buy a clue that this show it the one they should promote to lead the charge.

I'll be ready to work for Chuck's renewal for season 4, but I'm just hoping ratings pop back up so we don't have all the drama like there was at the end of last season. This show is way too good to need that crap. It's messed up more people don't realize that.

Re: Chuck -- "Chuck vs the Tic Tac" -- 03/15/2010

Wow, certainly a lot to process from one episode.

I'm pleased we had such a Casey centric episode since we haven't had one in quite some time. I am surprised that they went there with his back story so soon though. I suppose they wanted to fit it in due to the original 13 episode streak.

I do wish we had some more Robert Patrick, but I was happy with what we did get. Another example of perfect casting for this show. With the exception of show they are 100%.

Some very nice little moments as well. I enjoyed Morgan's steak-out. I do hope that Chuck isn't being too open with Morgan. While he's trying to keep him a safe distance he's letting him in a little too much as well. I hope nothing bad comes from that.

Some very nice Chuck and Sarah interactions as well too. I've missed those this season.

So how ironic is it that John is now in the exact same place that Chuck started??! That could easily take that some interesting places.

My only minor complaint about this episode was how heavy it was. There were some funny parts, but it also had a twinge of depression to it as well. It's also like the plot is in the exact opposite situation it was at this time last year (close of 2x21).

Here's to the back 3!

Also, I saw this posted on another board as speculation:

I think Sarah's playing Shaw and her mission is to get close to him to see what he's up to. But her feelings for Chuck are making it harder for her go into pretend mode like she's used to.
I actually find that compelling as both an idea and a character development piece. If I knew Sarah was going through this internal struggle then I think I'd buy into the relationship. However, much like Lost I'm currently watching waiting for whatever to happen. It may prove there was a secret plot this entire time, but without the viewer knowing it the relationship is very forced and meaningless.
