Summer Glau to Star in The Cape
Summer Glau ("Dollhouse," "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," "Firefly") will star in NBC's superhero-themed drama pilot "The Cape," to be directed by Simon West.
In the pilot, a former cop (David Lyons) is set up as a criminal and becomes a masked hero, the Cape, to clear his name.
Glau will play Orwell, a cute and intrepid investigative blogger who fearlessly goes after corrupt cops and costumed bad guys.

Re: The Cape
This should be awesome considering how well NBC handled their last superhero series.

And here I thought we were going to be talking about the 90's series about Space Shuttle astronauts.
It may have promise, but this part makes me leery:

Re: The Cape
I just saw an ad for this and it looks pretty damn cool. Plus, James "Franklin from True Blood" Frain is in it.

Re: The Cape
That promo makes it look much better than the promos I've seen them airing on NBC. The ones I've seen on-the-air make it seem pretty campy and for some reason didn't feature Summer Glau, but that one makes it look like a pretty good drama and I loved Glau in Firefly and The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Will definitely check it out now, thanks for posting Giantrobo.

^ that piece there made this show look really good! I'm looking forward to it now. Main actor looks like a good actor as well. The NBC promos I been seeing on TV look pretty bad. So it probably wont last, sad because based on that behind the scenes promo it looks like a promising show, just NBC is doing a bad job with its TV ADs.

That looks like an EPK of the show. Good stuff nevertheless.
I posted this trailer a few times in this forum already. This is the 3 1/2 minute trailer that was shown by NBC at the upfronts last May when the show got picked up. Now this trailer kicks ass.

Re: The Cape
Why is there a thread for this NOW? The promos have been airing on NBC for weeks now, but I can't program it to record on my DVR yet. Wouldn't this have been better opened on the day of the show like every normal thread?
They're airing this in the timeslot for The Event while it is on winter hiatus. I am leery of NBC though. I could totally see them not airing all 13 ordered episodes and just stopping after the first 8 when The Event is supposed to return on February 28th.

I first found out about this from this forum and the above ad. Looks awesome...then I saw the ads NBC was playing on TV...and it looks lame.
And why is this the first I hear about Summer Glau being in it? That's enough reason to watch alone.
I'll put it on my DVR and hope for the best.

I thought this looked cool when the previews were just the lead guy fighting and working with Keith David. But once they started showing the villains and the midget sidekick, it started looking waaaay too cheesy for me.
