Yeah. You can tell because he tried to be a little too auteur-esque with a few shots, some good (the camera just passing by Jeff sticking an entire apple in his mouth like it's just something that happens all the time) and some not so good (like the shot of Casey throwing the grenade in the hotel room.) Other than that I thought he did a great job.

looks like next weeks episode has a lot of Chuck + Sarah alone time..... I expect there will be some sort of discussion about their future.

What a great epsidoe. I certainly laughed out loud at a few things this time - Jeff sticking the apple in his mouth, the flag raise and the WWII kiss.
I think this was the first episode of the season that felt like a season 1/2 episode, and in my book that's a good thing. Too much has felt off this season, although for me I think that can all be traced back to Shaw. Oddly I think his, "Damn, I was just dupped." realization and reaction made him more interesting. I finally felt like there's something more there. Regardless, I'd like to see him gone.
I suppose the call to Casey at the end means that the Ring, despite their failed attempts, is fully aware that there is more going on at the Buy Moore. How else would they know he's involved?
Awesome cracking even more? This does not bode well. Granted Ellie and Awesome are often underutilized, but if they leave I feel like there would be a large void in the Chuckverse. I hate to say it, but I'd rather see the Buy More crowd go first.
So Morgan finally knows! I need to stop watching interviews and reading reports because I knew somebody was going to find out. However, as soon as he didn't tell Morgan I was sure it would be one of the Buy More crowd. Nice misdirection though. "You're fired." "From the Buy More?!" "No. As my best friend."
I hope this turns out to be a good thing and allows more Chuck and Morgan time. I don't think we've had much since the premier.
This is very good news. I think this whole season, with the exception of a few scenes, has been absent of these two interacting. I keep waiting for the 'typical' Chuck/Sarah scene to close out the episode. We haven't gotten any.

But I think the lack of Chuck/Sarah time was necessary for Chuck to have the epiphany that he had in his talk with Morgan. He had been fighting his feelings for Sarah for so long that he had actually started to believe the whole "we're over" line himself. It took Morgan to bring him back to his senses.
Oh, and yeah, Morgan's "that is so cool!" reaction was perfect. And the look on his face as he watched Chuck take down the Ring agents: priceless.
This episode rocked on pretty much every level and was one of, if not THE best episode of the series so far.

I enjoyed this episode but I'm worried with all these changes they run the risk of Jumping The Shark. The setup I like is the trouble he runs in to trying to sneak around. If too many people know the secret it's no longer a secret.
On a side note; I just watched The Canyon. It's a movie with Yvonne Strahovski. It was rated R so I was really hoping to see some skin. Not only did the movie suck, it was really the calibre of a TV movie, she showed more on a regular episode of Chuck. I'm not really sure why it was rated R, no skin, no swearing, no graphic violence

Given that all of the news this time last year was rather dire, I'm happy to see positive articles. Yes, I know it doesn't mean anything per se, but it's still nice to see good news.

I'm hoping it means more opportunity for the actors on Chuck because they are a good bunch and deserve some other roles.

I have no clue who started this, but it's awesome.

Oddness all around!
Maybe we can get, a) Joss to direct an episode, b) Nathan to be in the ep.
