Twenty Four (24) -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 03/08/10

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
A key person at CTU is demoted, and struggles to handle the change. Meanwhile, an annoying parole officer (Stephen Root) makes an appearance.

Hey guys. I am currently overseas in Asia on vacation. I will pop in here every now and then, but I won't be as active as I normally am. Looking forward to watching this when I get home on the 19th.

"Jenny's" storyline looks like it's not close to being done, oh joy.

I don't know if I feel like watching the whole episode next week, maybe I'll tune in for the final 10 minutes, but it's just not "got to see TV" anymore like it use to be.

Its like Jack isnt even the main character anymore... I cant believe I'm saying this...but 24 is becoming a chore to watch.

I completely missed this episode tonight after zoning out half-way through last weeks episode.

Sounds like I didn't miss much? Oh well...

This is sad but true.

Given how season 7 ended, I hoped this season would begin at that exact moment. They had an interesting villain set up, Renee pushed to the edge and going rogue, and Jack reeling from the death of a longtime friend (Bill) and betrayal from another (Tony). That would have been far more interesting than the insomnia-inducing crap they've churned out this season.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 03/08/10

Definitely another meh episode EXCEPT for when Jack comes on the intercom and tells Markos that he is going to kill his Mom if he detonates that vest. CLASSIC Jack Bauer!

For the love of all that is Holy, just when you think that HORRIBLE redneck storyline was dead and gone (pun intended) they bring in his parole officer!?!? What next, his bookie contacting her to ask him when he's going to pay back his gambling debts. Enough is enough!!!!

The guy that Hassan suspected and had arrested but everyone thought he was an idiot for doing so is actually involved...what a surprise.

I thought they would bring the kid's mom in and torture/grill her within eye/earshot to get him to break. Still, it would've been great to make her go in after he blew up and clean up the mess.

My standards must not be as high as everyone else here as I don't see the show as being as horrible as everyone is saying. We do need more Renee though...

"Go ahead. Blow yourself up into a million little pieces. First thing I'll do is grab your mother and make her clean it up." HOLY CRAP! lol

Come on mate, they could have turned "season 6" on us and have the president's sister or wife be the villain. That wasn't so bad I actually thought it was going to be the other guy, who was friends with this dude sleeping with the daughter, who's still with Hassan.

The episode was definitely an improvement over the last few weeks. Ortiz is back in action, hopefully he'll tell Dana to keep handling her mess, Jack had some nice lines about making the mother clean the mess and bring her to be exposed, and finally something happened with the very stale Hassan storyline. Looks good from the previews next week, dude'll use the daughter for protection. Evidently, they still have some Dana garbage storyline, hopefully it won't last long. And even with all that crap, I still like her more than the other CTU idiot who's after her. He might be the character I despise the most in 24 history. We need more Renee. Oh, and has Jack called Kim about not goining them soon? I suppose that'll happen in a few hours around 7-8am?

No, S6 was just downright bad, and pretty stupid in a lot of places. This season isn't really bad; it's simply somewhat dull. There's a difference.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 03/08/10

Thought it bounced back nicely from prior weeks, and I was REALLY down on the show. Jack w/the blow-up kid was classic, and I was glad to see Cole/Jenny get reamed out.

I don't think, however, that parole officers travel in the middle of night to find people...

Thank god they equip detonators with convenient LED lights so all in sight can know exactly what's going on.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 03/08/10

That sudden turn to the camera that Jack did while telling Marcos what he would do to his mother was classic. I halfway expected him to reach through the screen (a la The Ring) and yank Marcos out of the tank by his bomb vest.

But then, I'm torn. In general, adding Stephen Root to a show is a good thing. But not when it allows the seemingly never-ending Dana thread to continue.

Re: Twenty Four (24) -- "2:00am to 3:00am" -- 03/08/10

What was that shit that I just watched? It was a complete bore. Why do I care about that kid and his mother? Why waste an hour on the 2? If someone calls me and asks what my name is the last thing I'm going to do is give them my name.

"We're going to demote you and make you report to the same person that was a complete fuck up less then 8 hours ago."

I love how they changed the preview for next week to make it seem like things are finally going to start happening. They must know the criticism this season has gotten.

Did anyone really think the Dana storyline was over?
