The granddaddy of reality shows, which debuted on May 31, 2000, celebrates its 20th edition with 20 former players who became famous either for their heroic efforts or villainous ways. They first arrive in Samoa via helicopters and are divided into their respective "good" and "evil" tribes before taking part in the initial immunity challenge and attending the first tribal council, where one player's attempt at revenge or redemption will come to an abrupt end. Among the castaways are previous game winners Tom Westman, Parvati Shallow and J.T. Thomas, and last season's breakout personality and runner-up to the title, Russell Hantz.

Spoiler:
Rupert breaks a finger or a toe(I forgot which one), and Stephanie seperates her shoulder in the first challenge, there might be two medical evacuations on the first show.

Why should this wait? If they start in March after the Olympics, the season won't end until June. Are you really that anxious to watch Skiing and Hockey?

I wish you would have added a poll for who we think will be evicted tonight. Is it possible to add one?

Or even a poll for who will win. That would be interesting to look back on and see who (if anyone) was right. Picking a hero or villain isn't that hard since you have a 50/50 chance of being right.

Um yes. You apparently don't go into the sports forum. I only have so many tuners. I could live w/o Survivor for a couple more weeks.

I'm looking forward to tuning in. Haven't followed Survivor faithfully through the years, so this Heroes vs. Villains set up with several familiar faces has me interested.

I haven't watched Survivor in probably 5 years, but if this season is anything like this first episode has been so far, I'll stick it out this season .
