My TiVo HD didn't pick up the name change. But I noticed it after the first new episode and added a new season pass.

I didn't like this episode that much. The writing just felt off. And I gotta say that Batgirl's comment to Nightwing was lame and didn't warrant his getting flustered. What's worse, both the A story and B story felt like B stories. None of it was particularly compelling.

Shame since I was looking forward to seeing more of Batgirl and Wondergirl in action.

So, Blue Beetle's friend who was kidnapped (you know, the one who is going to be chief of his tribe), sure was dressed like Apache Chief from Superfriends, no?

I thought it was probably the worst episode of the series to date. I liked seeing the team-up between the girls, but that Blue Beetle plot dragged the entire time it was on screen.

Very interesting, I hadn't made that connection but you might be right. That had to be the only reason we ended up getting that background story on Blue Beetle's friend.

this is one of those shows that doesn't seem to waste episodes. i'm sure the plot had something to do with the overall story arc for the season.

Ann Veal does the voice of Wonder Girl. Also Bumblebee is the first DC character I've seen in a while that's a ripoff of a Marvel character, it seems like it's usually the other way (Thanos, Ant Man, Vision).

Agree the Blue Beetle plot dragged. It was cool to see some more of his inner dialogue with the scarab, and how he has to control it. But that could have been done with less encyclopedia brown detective work.

I totally caught the Apache Chief reference. The Grandfather even mentioned he came from a long line of Apache Chiefs.

About time DC was doing something with him.

I love whenever theres an animated hispanic character they always feel the need drop in some key words and phrases to remind you.

Hey Hermano
Odelay vatos !

It's pretty obvious to me that DC is trying to push Blue Beetle as a Hispanic Spider-Man with the added bonus of the suit talking to him (ala the symbiote). He shows up in all their recent multimedia shows and rumors abound this whole season of Young Justice is tied to him and his suit.

They did Apache Chief in Justice League Unlimited.

Sort of. The Ultimen were based on Hanna Barbara characters and Longshadow was their version of Apache Chief.

They did make an Apache Chief JLU figure.

"Who?" Is also a valid response to anything Ann Veal. :)

Pretty sure the newest blue beetle has been Hispanic from the beginning, with the scarab always having the ability to talk to him.

At least from my knowledge of Batman The Brave and the Bold. :)

I think he means Mae Whitman (Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender and the voice of Tinkerbell).

Beat me to it.

Maybe I should have said "something substantial with the character."

Also voiced Batgirl on BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD.
Speaking of Batgirl, Why is she wearing a black corset?
Looks odd.

Good episode this week. Time travel is kind of a hackneyed plot device but it was well done and I'm more interested in that storyline than the Croleteans/Competitor one. Even though they may end up being tied together. Interesting to learn that Kid Flash is nowhere near as fast as the real Flash and his grandson.

Yeah, that threw me. Is Kid Flash related to the others (if not what is the origin of his powers)? Kid Flash is Wally West in this, right? While regular Flash is Barry Allen? I always thought Barry Allen was the original (who would presumably be the old man).
