Synopsis:

My God, Jan Hooks looks AWFUL! Can you believe she's only 52 years old!?? I thought she looked pretty bad a few years ago on that Jimminy Glick show as his wife. In retrospect, Nora Dunn, who is five years older than Hooks, looks exactly the same as she did on "SNL".

She does look scary, which seemed to make the scenes with Jack, that much more disgusting.

"Hi, I was told that I would receive cash if I came and sang while the Atlanta Hawks ate."

Came into this thread to post the exact same thing as everyone else ... Jan Hooks' first scene in the episode scared the living crap out of me. If I had to guess her age I would have said 71. Yikes.

It was danced, which is funnier.

I have to say that all 4 of NBC's Thursday comedies were on fire tonight!

Loved the video and the reaction shots of everyone watching it, especially Liz eating the cigarette

I died laughing when Jenna just whipped a microphone out of her purse.

Jan Hooks hasn't had an acting gig for five years.

It looks like she spent that time sleep-eating pizza and cigarettes.

Did Jan Hooks have plastic surgery mixed in with the aging?

this episode was ok but Parks & Recreation was better last night.

Damn Jan Hooks has really aged! I almost wasn't even sure it was her.

Yeah, she looks at least 15 years older than she really is. She probably did too much suntanning and/or smoked too many cigarettes.

Also shocked at how bad Jan Hooks is looking these days. I wondered if she had been deliberately made up to look that way, as Jenna's wayward trailer-trash mom. I can't believe she has let herself go that much in reality.

I'll add to the dogpile on Jan Hooks because yow, was she hard to watch. I swore sometimes I could hear her running out of breath at the end of her lines. Almost sounded like she was rocking a set of dentures.

Not a very rewatchable episode apart from Liz in Spanx. I laughed pretty hard at "You-know-what' & the Bear."

I didn't know whether to laugh or spew at the dollar bill scene with Jack. yikes.

I was gonna ask last night who was this woman who ate Jan Hooks, now I know better.

A friend of mine mentioned how shocked she was at Jan Hooks as well. Saying she has gone the way of Kathleen Turner. Very true.

The line that got to me...

Agree about Jan Hooks. Very rough. 6 years away from acting... was she doing meth during that time? Could explain why it seemed like she had false teeth. Brutal.

I always wondered why she stopped doing the voice of Manjula on The Simpsons.

Opened the thread to say the same thing. I actually kind of gasped when she popped up on screen. "There's no basement in the Alamo!"

The "Do That To Me One More Time" duet between Jenna and her mother reminded me of the "Afternoon Delight" duet between Michael and Maebe Bluth.

i really thought they did some prosthetics and make-up to her face. i really can't believe that was her face. i just can't fathom how someone who is 52, with no reported drug or alcohol abuse could naturally look the way she did.

realizing through the ep. that it might indeed be her real face i was taken out of the ep. almost completely.

did love the mic out of Jenna's purse scene. and Jack not liking the song "That's because I am listening to the words".
