Mad? Frustrating and disappointing. You put four years into a show and there is zero payoff... ever.

I agree. Even season one, which I really liked for the most part, ended really badly. Still, for some reason I continue to stick with this show. I've found that putting little pressure or expectation on it (I usually don't watch it until the weekend) made it a little better this year until recently.

They did manage to somewhat redeem a few characters before these last few tedious episodes. I just can't stand Claire. I didn't like her in the first season, and her never being called out on her dimwittedness is tiresome (the only good thing about Claire is that she's better than Parkman!). But I guess that's the biggest problem the show has always had. The characters are never consistent. Their motivation doesn't drive the story. The "story", such that it is, forces the characters to fit the need. I wouldn't mind that too much if the stories were good, but they aren't. We're just left "rooting" for characters that often don't make any sense based on past actions.

As for next week, I'll probably be left wondering why they just didn't call the Haitian (who got stuck in traffic chasing Sylar for more than half a season in season 3). "Hey, go stand next to Samuel and the deaf girl." Problem solved.

Well, yeah, I've stopped watching from the DVR, although it's still in my season pass, and watching from Hulu in the computer while I'm doing something else.

If you once loved the show and are still watching, like me, it's because almost every show they have one or two things that you like. Yeah, in my case there's always one scene or two that brings a smile to my face. Of course then they ruin it with something dumb, but I try to keep only the good memories.

With Heroes you have to keep low expectations, don't wait for big fights, great acting (in general), etc. I tried to left last season but kept watching because I thought we were getting closer to the end, and this season I was almost sure it was the last one, but I think they may renew the show for a new season. And I'll keep watching.
