Did anyone watch Aziz Ansari's comedy special? "Who the hell watches Burn Notice?"

I'd have to return the favor and ask him, "Who the hell watches Parks and Recreation?" I don't know a single person in real life who would own up to watching that show.

This. I disagreed with Aziz on Burn Notice but it was a very funny special.

Only halfway through the episode, but this absolutely sucks. I can't believe they chose this clunker as the (second half) series premiere. I'm not sure I'll even bother watching the rest of it.

Man, I knew I had something I meant to catch (Aziz's special).

Burn Notice rules, though. It's the perfect 1-2 punch in my mind with Sons of Anarchy. Burn Notice is a little soft (not enough killing) and Sons is a little unsubtle. I need to get complete seasons and have a one after the other marathon to make sure they work well together like I think they would.

Re: Burn Notice - "A Dark Road" - 1/21/10

I think it's no more worrying about who burned Michael now as it is just to get back into the agency. I don't know what they feel they need to accomplish, but at the same time, if they wanted Michael dead, I suppose he'd been killed already.

I hope they don't consider making Tyne a recurring character. As much as it was a cool bit of nostalgia with the C&L reunion, Michael's mother now understands the nature of his work. And for as much that it sucked to treat the person as an asset, I think she knew that overall, it was what was necessary for the greater good. My fear is that she'll want to somehow make it up to Tyne's character and we'd see he in future episodes.

So why didn't he just break in and take what he needed in the beginning. Hell he could've copied to the info and left everything in place with nobody the wiser.

As much as I enjoy this show, I think next season might be a good time for it to end. As much as the formula has stayed the same (which I get) it is starting to feel a little long in the tooth. I think it would be very satisfying if they could wrap up Michael's quest sooner than later. For the record I think the last episode of the series will see Michael get unburned, only to decide to stay in Miami with Fi and Sam doing what he does.

Yep. Every episode I wonder why he even cares if he gets his job back.

The ironic part comes from the fact that Burn Notice gets higher ratings than P&R and it's on cable and an hour long. The mid-season 3 finale scored nearly double the avg. audience of P&R.

Same here, but then I've always preferred their standalone weekly capers over the overall burn storyarc.

nearly double? you are telling me Burn Notice pulled in nearly 10 million viewers? I highly doubt that.

The only good explanation is that the worker knew where the files were, and Michael didn't have time to break in and hunt for the correct files. Busting in later and grabbing a few random files to cover up the initial theft by the coworker was faster/easier.

Or did he say he put the files back? Like maybe they made copies? I was confused why the worker didn't just photocopy the info instead of stealing the originals.

It's also odd that it seems like Michael initially wasn't planning on doing the later break-in to save the worker's job, until he found out his mom was upset. It seems like Michael wouldn't leave a (mostly) innocent woman twisting in the wind like that.

You're right, I thought I read 9m earlier, it was 7.6m viewers for the mid season finale. My mistake.
