I finally watched it. I did not like it. It just did not draw me in. Despite all the action, I found it very boring and hard to get into. I kept finding myself running it back because my mind started to wander. Mark Valley is so blah.
I think I will watch the next episode before I delete the season pass, but not impressed with the pilot at all.

I just watched the pilot tonight, right before the new episode.
Overall, I thought it was a fun, if not, as previously mentioned, in need of a serious suspense of disbelief. I thought the fight scene with the assassin was really well done. And while I didn't find the music itself bad, the mix (especially on tonight's new episode), but even the pilot, really horrible. There were times I had to rewind, try to turn it up, and focus to be able to hear dialogue. And a few scenes where it just wasn't possible.
I'll definitely stick with the show (really liked both episodes), but if it ends up being too much like homework in the future, in terms of trying to decipher the dialogue, it might not end up staying in the rotation.

I just watched the pilot via Hulu and enjoyed it. Unlike others, I think Mark Valley has presence and charisma. He tosses off the one-liners and snarky dialogue like it's nothing. While I still think of Chi McBride as Emerson Cod, he's still good here. Hopefully, he'll be more than the wisecracking boss. JEH has to be thankful that he was hired to do Little Children, because he's been nothing short of fantastic in everything he's done since.
It took me a few seconds to realize that Guerrero's contact in the restaurant was Doc Cottle from BSG. Two BSG regulars on the same show is good in my book.
Even though I prefer Tricia Helfer as a blonde, she still looks good here.
I'll be watching this show. Off to watch episode 2 on the DVR.....

Very entertaining, like watching a cheesy 1980's action movie. It'll be interesting if they can keep other episodes at this level, since they won't all be directed by a season action guy like Simon West.
