Ideas? Show suggestions?

Undeclared is 30 minutes and had a relatively short run.

Crap, I just remembered that I lent my Undeclared to a friend who, in turn, let his shit-ass gypsie roommate borrow it and that guy lost my disc 1. I'll need to find the first 5 episodes somewhere if that's what we choose. Also, bear in mind the order on the discs aren't in production order.

Does the production order matter continuity wise?

Just a thought - it might be a good idea to ramp this up over the summer. As others mentioned, once the winter hiatus is over it will be very difficult for the main thread to stay afloat, let alone additional running at the same time.

I think you're right Supes. I vote for sticking with one, Twin Peaks (I've never seen it, so I'm kinda interested in doing that one anyway), and since it's only 7 episodes, Spainlinx can decide where we go next depending on how well this plays out. :D

I like the Undeclared vote though and want to restate my vote for Band of Brothers since that will be right around the time of The Pacific.

Probably be pretty cool to see all the huge stars again in their humble beginnings.

On Undeclared yes. If you watch them in order on the disc, you'll have a character with her boyfriend one episode, broken up the next and back to prior break-up the next. It's definitely FUBAR.

Technically 8 with the pilot. This means the Season 1 finale discussion will begin on February 17th. I really hope people are still paying attention by then :)

Yikes! I'm up for Undeclared (been meaning to watch it anyway), but whoever runs those threads will have to be very clear on the proper viewing order for the entire series. Sounds like a good show, though. :)

So when are we getting this party started?

Cool, thanks. Must have missed that.

Are you going to have this ready by Wednesday pinata?

I'm trying, but I can't get Groucho to fit into that little red suit!

Hmm, well the only pilot I could find was the Int'l version. I'm still looking but it may be hard to find.

apparently if you stop the international version at 90 min give or take, then you should be good. according to imdb, the regular pilot runs 94 min, and the international version runs 113 min

But is it a completely different cut? Even if I stopped it at 94 mins, is stuff going to get spoiled, will I miss important plot info?

Re: Watch a show as a group?

what i read on imdb, its the same version, and that most of the scenes appear in later episodes, and that it gives away who the killer is, the international version does. so stopping it at around 94 min sounds about right, maybe someone who has seen both versions can clarify

Pilot Clarification (without spoilers!)

Having watched both versions of the pilot, here's what you need to know.

STOP watching immediately after the scene were Sarah Palmer (Laura's mother) has a vision. It's around the 90 minute mark. I just re-watched the euro-version, and it seems like she actually has a different vision than in the real pilot. Man, what a mess that euro-version has caused! {edited to remove instructions. check out the Twin Peaks thread for the proper instructions}

Everything after that is not part of the official 'story' of Twin Peaks.

Re: Watch a show as a group?

I've added some more info about the different cuts to the main post of the Twin Peaks Pilot thread. If you follow my instructions there, then you won't see anything that you're not supposed to see.
