The thing is she looks so much older than her husband and just doesn't look like she goes with him - weird to describe. I wouldn't call her out as the acting is a little over the top from a lot of the cast anyway.

Still love this show though.

Yeah that confused me. I guess they showed us as viewers the photo, but Scott and his father didn't know about her.

When did Derek bite the mom? I know she knifed him but I didn't see him bite her.

I believe she was in the yearbook, but wasn't on the list of those in the same chemistry class. Thus, the source of confusion.

As for the mom, they never showed her being bitten.

They've really stepped it up this season. I thought for sure the Mom would end up running away or that her husband wouldn't let her go through with it. But now that we know they can be brought back from the dead who knows. Its good to have Peter back. Hes a great villain and hes a much more badass Alpha than Derek.

Derek's uncle, he's the one who bit Scott. He was the Alpha last season then Derek killed him.

Interesting they decided to off the mother that way. I suspect a show with more episodes in its season handles that storyline a little differently. Check the house party scenes, the extras in the background are making out like I've never seen before on television. Those have to be real life couples.

With Peter seeing Gerard become the new master of the Kinima, I dont expect Gerard to survive the season. Will be interesting to see how Allison reacts once she learns her mother tried to kill Scott and Derek saved him when he bit her mother.

Wonder how Derek is going to respond now that he knows Gerard has been pulling Scott's strings.

I really like that they seem to have made a concerted effort to go with practical effects over CGI this season whenever possible. That was my one complaint from last season, the CGI. It ranged from pretty bad to god awful.

Now that they know that any of the hunters that get bit will kill themselves, they should be biting them any chance they get. Really glad this got picked up for 24 episodes for season 3. waiting 9 months is kinda hard for this show.

I don't buy Allison's turn to the dark side as an enforcer or the supposed mythology in the show behind it. I'm sure it's popular with the tween crowd but that entire plot arc has been handled in a clumsy manner. None of the relationships between Gerard, Allison, and her Dad make much sense except the plot calls for it.

They focused a lot on Gerard's pill container tonight. I assume that is how he is gonna be taken out. Allison was cold tonight. Can't wait til she finds out the truth and how Gerard played her. Chris needs to take out his belt and put her over his knee.

Which might have been a mistake by MTV. This was the worst episode of the entire series and they basically trashed most of the careful plot and character development to date in the series.

Gerard's character has been turned into some kind of cartoon madman. Most of the actions and individual decisions didn't make much sense, and the weird shifts in tone from comedy to deadly horror at the lacrosse game was a disaster. One of the poorest written episodes I've seen on television in the last year. Bringing back the old Alpha was a mistake.
