Did I just see Kenny Johnson in the background at the opening?
ETA: Now that I have gotten past the first commercial break, yeah, that was Kenny Johnson. Excellent.

What was the deal with Zobelle kissing his daughter like that on the mouth.....twice? That seemed a tad incestuous.
Great fucking episode, though I wish the big fight scene at the end had gone on longer. I was expecting Weston to put up much more of a fight than he did.

Wow! That was great..... but such a letdown.
Builds GREAT for the finale. I'm so not watching the previews for next week's show. I already can't wait. I just want to see more asskicking/killing.
This show just hits the mark so consistently. Already wish it was next Tuesday.

What an episode! They put it all out there and totally went the other way with it (something I've come to love about this show).
Tara's scene with the Administrator was great. Loved how they fooled Stahl and the Irish Kid; having two rats in the box was classic. It was crazy when Weston went crazy and killed everyone in that warehouse, and then seeing him freak out on Zobelle and again when his kids got taken.
Good to see the Sons were playing it smart and had a plan, too bad Hale had to mess it up...TWICE. Pretty funny seeing Zobelle punk out at the end, turning himself in for the drugs just to get out of the Cigar Shop. And the cops were all going to leave too, even Hale, because Uncer told them to, haha.
Glad to see that Chucky made it out alive and that the Sons are treating him as one of their own now. Still, while there wasn't as much revenge as I'd have liked to see, it is nice that the tables have turned and Zobelle and Weston are now in jail. I think next week we'll see Half Sack patched in; looking forward to that.
Next week's episode looks intense:
Also, whatever happened to Tom Arnold? I mean, that was him that killed Luanne, right? They need to resolve that at some point. I guess the Sons have too many things to worry about at this point, but you'd think taking him out would be a pretty quick fix. Unless of course it wasn't Tom Arnold but was actually Zobelle, but that doesn't seem likely.

I think we'll see Tom Arnold and Kenny Johnson back next season to tie some of that stuff up, much like they've tied up Chucky this season. Kenny Johnson looked badass, and I want to know some of the backstory with Tig.
I wonder if we'll find out that the administrator was actually in league with the white supremacists. There's something slimy about her.

Ahhh, Lem. I had no idea what his real name was. Yeah, I've always liked that guy too. I wouldn't mind him being a regular down the road at all.

All I could think of when the fight started was "Man, I'd hate to be the guy fighting Tig" and then he bit the guy's ear off
Loved the scene with Tara and her boss
I hope we get a scene with Gemma and Zobelle's daughter

Man what an intense 45 mins of television
I was glued to my tv throughout!
The melee fight was a tad unbelievable in that every single SON was winning his fight.
Tara really is now a true old lady. Loved seeing her sort out the administrator
The end scene with Zorbelle and his daughter was brilliant. Hale really pissed me off
And the bait and switch to throw off ATF was great as well
Loved the whole lockdown and loved finally seeing more Sons associate bikers

Re: Sons of Anarchy - "The Culling" - 11/24/09
I have just been in SOA overload. I just watched all of the first season (brilliant!) last week, and I caught up with this season Monday and Tuesday in time for this episode. This show is amazing.
I was actually disappointed in this episode for a bit because I thought it was the season finale, but I'm glad to see I was misinformed there. This season has been so frustrating because I'm just waiting and waiting for the revenge for Gemma. I know this show isn't just going to have the Sons kill the dudes who did it, they've got to pay. I can't wait to see what that is going to be.
I will say, this show is strange in how you hate everyone, then love everyone, then hate everyone, then love them all again. Well except for Opie. He's always been the shit.

I wonder if Zoebelle's daughter is his daughter, or his "daughter", because that was one mighty friendly smooch.
I could believe all the Sons winning their fights, except for Bobby Elvis. He always struck me more as a lover than a fighter.

Well, that sucks. I was hoping Weston would die this episode, so Henry Rollins' acting wouldn't ruin the finale. No suck luck. He isn't even believable when he's just simply walking.
I thought this episode was a bit weak compared to the last couple weeks, but still enjoyable. The most annoying scene for me was Tara and her boss. I think the writers have lost their mind when it comes to her storyline.

Thought the Tig portion of the rumble was great; My first thought "How long before Tig goes medieval on someone?" Was hoping for more out of that scene then it just leading to Weston's arrest - seemed like a waste of that scene (it kind of setup the Zobelle scene right after it, but it wasn't really necessary for that)
Great that it looks like they are going to patch Half Sack in after a lot of the shit he's been through. And while the prospect angle was funny, I hope they don't bring in another new prospect too quickly.
Yeah, she seems to have converted into wannabe badass biker chick rather quick. It seems like the writers want to portray her as a believable future replacement for Gemma, but I think they need to build that up a bit more slowly.

is it me or is it painfully obvious watching Ally Walker's face. holy shit, that upper lip looks like play-dough molding on her face. disgusting.
Straylight Run song at the end was perfect for this show.

it's not just you... she really looks friggin' disturbing in this... like some botched plastic surgery. To me, she is the absolute week link in this show... every other performance seems legit and natural, whereas I cringe whenever she is on the screen, playing her role so over-the-top.
