Someone mentioned Larry and the actor playing George's dad had problems, what were they?

That's just in reference to season 4, when Larry drove Ben Stiller (Whose dad played George's dad) to quit The Producers. I'm forgetting the exact reason.

I just finished the Paul Shaffer book, and in it, he claims that he was actually given the role of George outright, without having to audition. He was after doing some work with Castle Rock (This Is Spinal Tap), and was told that Jerry wanted him specifically for George (they were acquaintances as Shaffer often played in places where Jerry was performing). He says that he didn't know who Castle Rock was at the time, and just didn't return the call.
Thank God he didn't return that call.

I think it was the number of things that Larry did, not getting him a gift, I think he drove Ben Stiller around town and they missed the dance rehearsals, and finally poking him in the eye with an appetizer toothpick.

Plus Larry not shaking Ben's hand after Ben had sneezed on it.

Unfortunately watching that clip it makes it pretty clear there will not be a bonus "full episode" on the DVD. It was obvious that Jason had never read the scene that Larry was doing as George.

Jerry's best lines:
-"Nobody wants to see John, Paul, George and Larry!"
-"Icon!......Icon!......Icon!......Icon.......No-con!"

How could they do that? NBC doesn't own the rights to the show.

I'll say that the only thing about the "Seinfeld" episodes that kind of didn't sit well with me was the fake contrived laughter. This may be a product of the improvish aspect of the show, but when people were laughing at other actors whether it was during the rehersal episodes, table read, or the run through it just seemed that when people were laughing at the people acting it just seemed really contrived. It wasn't a huge deal but just that one little thing that jumped out at me while watching.
Still liked the season a lot. And I think it was very obvious that Cheryl was in the car only if by nothing else the very obvious camera zoom to the window. It was the most obvious way to tell us something with out telling us.

Speaking of nit-picks, I thought the laughtrack in the finished show sounded off. Perhaps in the actual Seinfeld shows they use a lot of real audience reactions, because the length and quality of each laugh sounds different. In the fake Seinfeld, the laugh track had the exact same intensity each time it was used, and really did sound like generic canned laughter. A real Seinfeld reunion show would have had the laughtrack carefully paced and edited. I'm reminded of a great scene in Annie Hall.

Fantastic episode. I've always appreciated Seinfeld as a comedian, but seeing him on Curb has shown me another side I'm really digging. I LOVE how he fucks with LD all the time. Seeing the cast together was great; I'd love to see that episode fully realized. The Mocha Joe subplot was a little ridiculous but not entirely outside the realm of the show. The ending was pitch-perfect for the show. Larry gets what he wants, yet still manages to somehow fuck it up. I hope they do another season, but if this is the last what a great note to go out on.

My wife and I caught a few episodeds of the new season having never seen before and we liked it. I was looking for something to by us for Christmas and Amazon had the bundle for 79 a couple of days ago. I figured it was a good deal but thought I would ask. Thanks for the heads up!

I almost want to buy them for that price even though I already own them all haha. I think I only spent around 15-20 on past seasons though.
Absolutely loved this season...watching the Seinfeld bits was euphoric
Any word on if this is the end? Another 2 year break coming, or have we seen the last of Larry David's antics?
