Dexter - "Road Kill" - 11/15/09

Did anyone see this? Any spoilers you might share as I will not get to watch it until later this week.

Re: Dexter - "Road Kill" - 11/15/09
I saw it.
The season is really picking up. I always thought Dexter would kill himself if he killed an innocent. That's his code. Good episode. Hate to see Rita go down that path she's heading. |

I surprised it bothered him at all that much other than not getting to kill the assistant and him being kinda sloppy. The photographer was an asshole and woman beater who cares he dead. Didn't he kill that pedophile last year and what about Prado's brother?

It's pretty obvious that the news reporter shot Lundy and Deb. The biggest clue is that she's an otherwise useless character who keeps popping up for no reason.
I found it hilarious that Rita's sub-plot with the neighbor was almost exactly the same as Marge's sub-plot with Flanders on The Simpsons that aired on the same night. |

"I really need to stab something."
Lithgow really got to go nuts- no pun intended- on this one. It was a throwaway bit, but I loved the toilet paper coffee filter reaction |

I think that it was one of the TV reports on eonline or ew.com that said if you really watched carefully the episode where Lundy and Deb got shot, it would give hints as to who the shooter was (this was before the episode aired). Given that the size of the shooter basically rules Deb's ex out, I gotta think that Groucho is right about the shooter, but can anyone remember anything in particular that might be a clue?

I can think of three, if you counted each of her juggs separately.

I think it was Anton. He has been MIA since then. Like they want you to forget about him.

Re: Dexter - "Road Kill" - 11/15/09
he's way taller than Masuka

I called it as the reporter back when they first got shot. Here's hoping.

What a boring episode.

Re: Dexter - "Road Kill" - 11/15/09
I still say it's Trinity's son Jonah. He's roughly the same height Deb/Masuka said the shooter would be. You can tell since Jonah and Masuka are the same amount shorter than Dexter (going by the episode where Dexter meets Jonah for the first time). In this new episode, he's bent over washing the car - almost like the writers/director are purposely hiding his height. Plus he's in ROTC and has made a couple of appearances (not enough to make it obvious, but enough so that the surprise isn't out of nowhere).
Of course I could be wrong, and it's the reporter - which would be monumentally stupid. Will Trinity realize that there were no news reports about cops doing a DNA sweep searching for a serial killer - and start to question who Dexter really is? Doesn't Dexter realize he can look suspicious wearing black gloves in the daytime in the hot Tampa weather? He couldn't even say they were construction gloves. Quinn keeps getting more interesting information about Dexter. How will this play into future episodes? |

I just watched the episode. Sad that Dexter couldn't let go soon enough.

Re: Dexter - "Road Kill" - 11/15/09
Dexter's just getting too messy this season and I can't tell if that's an intentional shift or just the result of sloppy writing. Leaving a cut up and bloody body hanging in a heavy bag, killing the wrong guy during a few free hours one night, and now stalking Trinity in full serial killer regalia with a loaded syringe in broad daylight at a build site full of people. This just isn't the Dexter we've come to know.
|
Re: Dexter - "Road Kill" - 11/15/09
Where did all those people at the build site come from? It went from deserted to fully populated in a matter of seconds. I can only assume a clown car pulled up right after Dexter got there.
