They even showed that chick in the "previously on" segment this week, but nothing came of it.

Wasn't that the chick that survived SUV crash caused by the Flashback during the chase?

I'm not sure why I'm still watching this. I haven't really enjoyed an episode since the pilot. I think once they take a break, I'll probably say goodbye.

I feel that way about V, but not Flash Forward.

I've yet to watch V. I've got it on the DVR, but I also have V:The Final Battle and the original series to watch. I DVRed it all during the SyFy marathon, but I've been thinking about just erasing it as it's just too much. Is the consensus that the new series is shit? That would help my decision.

Absolutely not, I would say more than 50% of the comments from the 2 episodes have been generally positive for V.

And...saved. I may just skip forward to the new series though or I may never get to it. I'm finally watching my Damages S.1 dvds...great series. I still have S.2 on the dvr from whenever that ended. It's work man, it's work!

Well, for now it's only a 4 episode commitment for now. Then the series won't come back until March 2010. Sounds like you are way way behind. Damages season 3 premieres in January 2010.

As for Flash Forward, I've been enjoying it so far. Yeah it's taking a very slow approach to the storytelling, but you have to keep in mind they 25 episodes to produce and it's supposed to cover a 6-7 month timespan so to me it makes sense to slowly move the story along. It's not like a show like 24 where it takes place over 24 hours and the action and plot move along relentlessly.

I'll join the chorus.

There are so very many things wrong with the show - it's almost like there are different writers on each episode who don't seem to know what happened in the other episodes.

Part of the problem is that, unlike Lost, it's written like a typical disposable network TV show; you can miss not just 10 minutes here and there, but entire episodes and still be brought up to speed in a matter of seconds - unlike Lost or The Wire, this is a show that's better the less you pay attention and worse the more you pay attention. The incessant exposition grinds everything to a halt - did you miss that what one person's flash-forward was? Don't worry, we'll hear about it 10 more times in as many minutes. And things just don't make sense, which ruins the believability of the show. What happened with the president? What happened with the info about Sudan? Wouldn't the team getting attacked the way they were in D.C. right after their meetings give them unprecedented government assistance and funding?

I can go on (an on...), but suffice it to say that this show is an utter mess.
