Heroes -- "Strange Attractors" -- 10/26/09

Heroes

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Matt takes a big risk in order to be rid of Sylar; Noah asks Tracy to help a boy who's had similar experiences to Tracy; Claire and Gretchen go through hazing, but they've got other problems facing them.

Last weeks episode was a little boring, but overall I'm actually enjoying this season thus far. Sorority hazing should be interesting for Claire and Gretchen.

Parkman and Claire taking center stage is usually a bad sign and it lived up to that.

The end with Samuel was cool, but that's about it.

Next week looks good

Yeah, I liked seeing Samuel bring the place down.

Next week looks good. Sylar versus Hiro.

What's his face who play Parkman sucks. Nice guy, but his acting and delivery is bad.

Wait, "Charlie" is that chick from "Glee"? Wow!

Pretty good episode; I liked the allegory of Parkman having to drink his troubles away. Will be interested to see if Jeremy's death will prevent Hiro from being healed.

Re: Heroes -- "Strange Attractors" -- 10/26/09

I hope that the invisible girl being cut by Claire will be the end of that story, it's lame. Just having Claire figure out her school & love stuff is fine as long as they don't drag too long.

The whole Noah, Jeremy and Tracy thing was really lame, total filler. They should have just had him killed last week if he wasn't gonna last.

The Parkman thing was boring and now it seems like Sylar is using Parkman's body. I hope they end this with Hiro next week, I've had enough of Sylar, never mind 2! Can there be other bad guys please? Kill him already.

It's weird to see Greg Grunberg do those McDonald's Monopoly commercials where he rolls dice for someone, and if he rolls two 6's, that someone wins $1,000,000.

I liked this episodes. I thought it was the best so far this season. I thought I spotted a guy from primeval at the carnival. The one nerdy game that lives with the boyish girl that they always show in her panties. Could be wrong though.

I wonder if they will explain the compass and transportation thing. I'm guessing it is done by other people they haven't introduced yet. Or he is another person that can use multiply powers.

What is T-bag's power again? Is he a TK or something to do with ink or both and then some? So I thought the carnies were just after one person, Sylar? They still want Claire and now they're looking at being a haven (Avalon) for all mutants, I mean people with "abilities"?

6 episodes in shouldn't we have the slightest clue what the deal with the carnival is?

You must have skipped over it. The "Slow Burn" spot was somewhere near the 50 minute mark IIRC.

Geokinesis, and that extends to the minerals in his homebrew tattoo ink.

"How did you find me?"

"Your picture was geotagged! It was easy."

Ack. The picture Lydia snapped was awesome. I can only imagine it came with a caption like "havin a gr8 time @ the carn" or something.

Hopefully Hiro's quest has some kind of point, like undoing all the fucked up shit from last season.

Next week episode looks interesting.

About last night, good thing that I had my iPhone and was browsing while watching the show, other way I'd fall asleep.

One of the problems with this season is that we don't have that big villain, there's no nuclear bomb, no sylar trying to kill everyone. I was expecting some big evil plan from the Carnival people but so far nothing.

I still think it's the start of the Heroes version of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and that T-Bag is a their Magneto figure. Trying to create a Genosha-type environment for mutants.

Actually.. thinking more about it, the carnies seem to be more like the Morlocks.

How Marvel doesn't step in and sue the crap out of Heroes for characters and storylines is beyond me.

Actually, I consider this one of the good things for this season. All that big stuff is what got them in trouble over the last 2 seasons. Now we're back to the more personal stories that were prevalent during season 1.

Since Lydia has the tattoo powers and since Samuel can also make the carnival appear and disappear, I'm wondering if Samuel can tap into the powers of other folk in the carnival.

How exactly did Becky become the pledge master of Claire's sorority? Was she attending Claire's school by some giant coincidence or did she somehow insinuate herself into the sorority?

We're not supposed to think about that.

Re: Heroes -- "Strange Attractors" -- 10/26/09

I'm so sick of Parkman. I hope he's the one that was written out of the cast. They don't have to kill him off, just write him out. They've been successful in doing it to Mohinder, Angela and Nathan, they can do it to him. Sadly, long after a character has been written out and we're relieved, they are resurrected (Mohinder). At least Hiro can make me smile sometimes, Parkman is just a waste of time.

The more I see Tracy, the more I miss Niki. I wish they'd never gotten rid of her. The triplets storyline was just crazy. And I always liked the cousin in New Orleans who would mimick any act she witnessed. I'm not happy that she and Claire's boyfriend West were written out.

It was nice of Sylar to make Packman put on a shirt after nailing his wife.

I wondered about that as well, that would take being around for a while. I still find it odd that Sylar's memories basically can take control of Matt.

I really do not mind that there is no big bad yet, the world would normally not work like that, plus it is nice not knowing what the future is suppose to be like.
