I'm not familiar either, but based on the previews it looks like it's Oliver heavy.
It really seems like the writers are taking the time to deal with the issues that the characters had coming into this season over the course of the season rather than in an episode in the past. I'm really enjoying the approach and hope it continues.
I've read minor casting spoilers and there are some good actors/actresses coming up soon.

I get the feeling that they could have taken another episode to get Oliver back in the Green Arrow costume.
Not a good episode by any means. Hopefully next week's is better

Crap episode for the most part, though the last scene with Clark and Chloe looks like it could lead to something interesting.

So I guess that's supposed to be the same Roulette from Justice League who ran the superhuman cage matches in JLU.
at how Oliver had all his billions in one bank account. I hope Chloe gave him back the money.

Same here! I really like how the writers are bringing solid stand-alone episodes and continuing larger themes gradually throughout the season. I hope next the episode (didn't watch previews) brings back the Zod storyline.
I know a lot of you aren't enjoying the Lois and Clark parts, but I loved the scenes at the farmhouse. Clark kept running to get a new snack so he could go run another super errand. I also thought his intuition that something else was going on with Lois was good. It will be interesting to see what happens next since Lois was really upset at Clark for holding back the info about Oliver. I wonder if the ending implies that Lois and Oliver may be getting back together? I think it could be a good thing in that it forces Clark to deal with his feelings for Lois. I'd like it to be addressed for a good 6-7 episodes though and not just some abrupt shift.
Add me as another who had the same thought. I guess he figured he already broke the window so what's the big deal with a roof?

Oh yeah, Lois kicks some major ass early in the episode but later gets a concussion from falling off a barstool?

Thought the episode was just so-so
It's good that Oliver has his mojo back. For most of the episode, I thought they were making a Smallville version of "The Game" and some elements were cool (the fake cops and the computer draining Oliver's bank account)
I don't know, it felt kind of flat to me when it was revealed that Chloe was behind it just to get Oliver's head straight. Thought the Roulette character was a waste. Out of all the hot Asian chicks out there, Steph Song was the best they could find?

He had about $3.1 BIL spread over several checking, savings and investments within the Bank of Metropolis.

I didn't watch this but I've always liked "Roulette" on the JLU and JL cartoons.

Odd first post, but welcome comments I suppose.
I cheated and watched the preview for next week.

It wasn't great, but it was craptastic either - and we all KNOW how Smallville can easily get that way. There were several interesting moments throughout which would be nice to explore if the writers can remember them and stay on track. So I will say I liked it considering how bad it could have been. Plus getting the Green Arrow back earns the episode extra points.

I noticed this weeks episode is writen by the same team that gave us Metallo - which I thought was a very good episode - so I hope that brings more consistency and a solid episode.

Smallville exec Kelly Soulders is pushing for a 10th season.

I've actually thought this (so far) and the 8th season have been a major improvement over the 6th & 7th respectively. I'm in if it goes to season 10.

Of course Souders and Peterson would be pushing for a 10th season. They want to stay employed.
If The CW gives them a 10th season and says this is officially the last, then I'm fine with it. Then at least the writers can plot out the show with a proper conclusion.
I don't think the writers and producers of Smallville came into season 9 thinking it would be the last anyways.
Personally for me as petty as it sounds, I'd rather have the show end on even number season.
