The Office -- "The Lover" -- 10/22/09

The Office

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

Jim and Pam return from their honeymoon, only to get walloped with stunning news regarding the identity of Michael's newest sweetheart. Meanwhile, Dwight delivers a bizarre peace offering to Jim in an effort to make amends for years of torment.

This one sounds better than last week. The promos actually looked funny.

Is this the first time we've seen Jim just lose it like that; as in, he couldn't control his emotions?

Creed crying during the aria

"I hope he dates all your mothers"

"Hey, that my mother you're talking about"

I thought Jim would have done more with Dwight after he found the bug.

Re: The Office -- "The Lover" -- 10/22/09

There's too many signs pointing to a big, big shakeup before long, i.e. Jim and Pam leaving the show. With this, and Jim slowly becoming more and more Michael-like(which I think he will realize soon), and the baby coming, I think they will decide to leave Scranton for this season's cliffhanger.

Can the show survive without Jim and Pam? It would give the lesser characters more time to breathe(Andy hasn't done much lately, except the wedding episode).

i thought so too, but he's got the promotion now, so maybe he's toning it down.

I missed it... my dad called and wanted to talk and that is a rare occasion.

I'll catch it on Hulu tomorrow.

I loved Stanley's reaction to no more meetings, but I think the greatest scene in this episode was the camera on Pam's face when she realized it.

Re: The Office -- "The Lover" -- 10/22/09

"I'm going to date her harder"

"What does that mean?"

"You know what it means."

That and Toby's very quiet "What did I do." After Jim and Michael yelled at him...comedy gold.

Best part of the show Great episode this time. I guess we'll see if Dwight gets some dirt on Jim.

Stanley had me laughing so hard, that was my favorite scene. I also loved Erin throughout the episode.

This episode was one of the funniest I've seen. Pam, Michael and Jim were all really good in it.
