Synopsis:



Tonight is a little less cluttered. Some of the shows are in repeats. Hopefully 30 Rock gets some better numbers this week.

Nice. I love the episodes with this character. Did 30 Rock not get good ratings last week?

I think it was a mistake to start the season so late.

IIRC, it was down about 2mil viewers (25%) over the season premiere last year.

The Arnett scenes and the dig at Silverman's lame venture with Barry Diller saved an otherwise ho-hum episode.

"A book hasn't caused me this much trouble since Where's Waldo went to the barbershop pole factory"

So did anyone else notice that Savanna Samson was in this episode?

Was that Kenneth dancing the microwave in the flashback?

"We've designed the Pontiac Aztek."

I loved "Blammo! Another successful interaction with a man!"

"If your man has 7 cell phones but won't give you any of the numbers, that's a Dealbreaker?"

Much stronger than last week's -- can count on episodes featuring Arnett's Banks to be very good.

It's too bad they didn't use the actors from the 30 Rock porn. That was my first thought that's what they did. Which would have been the type of inside joke that 30 Rock did so often.

lots of great lines in this one

At first glance, I thought it was the woman who played Sarah Palin in "Nailin' Palin." Would have been a logical choice. But Savanna's a good choice, too. She's hot!

I liked this one better than last week's episode, too, which left me a bit cold after so much anticipation for the new season.

I wonder if there's any part of Fey that secretly wishes that Palin would've won the election (along with that McCain fella). She'd probably still be guesting on SNL, replayed on the news and web, and more visible to the non-"30 Rock" watching crowd, like last fall.

I guess I didn't recognize her with the glasses and dark hair. Anyone got a clip/pic?

Definitely much stronger than the premiere - some classic 30 Rock moments and I loved the Tracey storyline. Great ep.

This was superior to last week's episode, which I thought was one of the more disappointing of the series.

Simple joke, that makes me laugh.

Great line and apparently there may be some truth to it. Apparently the designers of the Aztek were designing a completely different car (like a mid sized sedan or something) and they ended up coming up with the Aztek due to the insane design by committee.

The dealbreaker lines were great.
- Jedi moves in Prospect Park
- necklace that says "Open Marriage".

and the line with breaking the baby in half and Tracy says he gets the top half because it has the face.

I must have missed that reference. What did they say?

Jack mentioned when he was going a little nuts at the prospect of losing microwaves that he had a joint venture with Barry Diller to create dynamic new content or some such showbizspeak, just like Silverman does in real life.

A good 30 Rock has me restarting it right after I'm done. That didn't happen last week.
