Synopsis:



Dominic Monaghan now joins the cast as a series regular.

It was posted in last week's thread, but Mark Guggenheim, who was the showrunner, has left the series. David S. Goyer, who created the show, will take over as showrunner starting with episode 14 for at least the remainder of the season. I think it's doubtful with Goyer's commitments as a feature writer/producer that he will stay with the show fulltime beyond this season.

This show better Gimme Something Better than it has been. I had high hopes for this show after the first ep, but it has dwindled fast.

This will be the first time watching this on its proper night. No more Vampire Diaries or Bones for a few weeks moves this up in the TiVo rotation.

Bones is off until November as most FOX shows are because of the World Series. Vampire Diaries will be back next week.

That's what I have been hearing. I am reluctant to watch more because of this.

I know most of you here have really little patience with serialized shows like this. But, they have a 25 episode order. I'm not expecting immediate payoff/answers right away when only 4 episodes have aired. Yeah some of the storytelling is a little clunky and the last 2 episodes have been wild goose chases that have led to nowhere, but it's expected IMO especially for a show in it's rookie year.

But when they wrote and created these they didn't have a 25 episode order. It just feels like they know where they want to go, they just don't know how to get there.

i say we all leave the show now and spare the heartache when it gets cancelled.

It's been mentioned a few times, but it got a full 25 episode season order. So, it's not getting cancelled. Plus, the whole story arc centers on the events of April 29, 2010, which is 6 months away.

Once the network orders the "back 9" or in this case "back 12" they have to air them all. They have signed the X's and O's with cast and crew to produce a full season and with the studio to air it. ABC is paying a crap load of money to ABC Studios for this show. Plus, it was just sold internationally to over 100 countries. ABC/ABC Studios is going to make millions from international sales of this show. Whether it gets a 2nd season is another story. ABC was happy with the ratings through the first 3 episodes and they have been consistent thus far.

If ABC wasn't happy with the show, then they would have cut their losses and canned it now or tell the producers to write episode 13 as a series finale. But, for this show it wouldn't work since the events of next April are central to it's story so they would have had to can it before producing episode 13.

I think we've now firmly established that Lesbo relationship drama is just as boring as hetero relationship drama.

and have a definitive ending and not stretched out three to five seasons. A show like this should be just one season IMO.

I think this show finally lost me tonight. That montage at the end was just terrible.

Wow, I'm surprised by the responses. I thought this was one of the best episodes. I'm interested to learn if the lesbian girl will actually die. Proving that maybe they actually can change the future. Because if they can't, then why the hell are we watching it?
