Synopsis: Spoiler:
Per Wiki, Gilead means "hill of testimony or mound of witness," so make of that what you will. We're now halfway through the season. |

Wow.
That scene between Jax and the Fed was out of this world. He's going to win this battle with Clay in the end. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
Loved the fight with Clay and Jax. Glad Juice didnt have to take one for the team.

She's gotta be pissed off that the club keeps getting the upper hand and she's not able to manipulate them. It will be interesting to see how things with the SAMCRO/IRA/Zobelle triangle play out. |

Great great episode, really enjoyed it
Loved the prison scenes. Not sure why Clay laid into Jax after the interview with the FBI Lady ?? I don't like the Jax v Clay stuff as much. I want them to sort out Zorbelle first before worrying about their beef Jax is starting to annoy me now . |

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
Didn't like the jail scenes, they jammed too much (no pun) into what was apparently their first (and only) day of jail time. Arranging protection, jax out in the yard setting up the dude in the infirmary, juice getting shanked, clay & jax fight, stahl there to interview them, opie setting up that chick etc..They should have spread those events over a few days at least.

Dave i agree the prison dynamics could have taken 3-4 eps, in a 22 ep season that may have been possible

I loved the episode! This show just gets better and better.
The scene with Jax and Stahl was awesome, especially his comment about Kohn. I'm not crazy about the stuff between Jax and Clay, but if they're going to do it, I hope they don't drag it on too long. I agree with OD about the club taking care of Zobelle first. That should be top priority. (However, within the club, if it's not going to work out, I want to see Jax take control. But that would also change the show completely, because it would change the club I think, so maybe that's not such a good wish.) |
Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
when i saw the Episode title, i immediatelty thought of Roland from Stephen King's 'Dark Tower' books. He was from a place called Gilead

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
when i saw the ep title, i thought Jihad ! i thought it was a funky way of saying it and we were gonna get a huge showdown

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
Well, Im not too big on the Jax and Clay stuff either, but I think we have to get used to it because this is what the show is all about... Its always going to be the main, underlying theme going on. But another stellar episode.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
I love the Clay/Jax stuff - I think the 'politics' of the club has been very interesting.
I do agree that the prison stuff was rushed. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
I think that there is no easy way to resolve the Jax/Clay without the "big reveal". I am pleased that I have no idea where they will do with this. :D
I do like the very slow, gradual development in the relationship between Tara and Gemma. The change from adversaries to allies has been well done. Thos. |
Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
prison stuff was good, although the continue to perpetuate my pet peeve in that they wouldn't be locked up in a prison. they'd be in a jail. outside of that, was great episode.

I couldn't figure out why there were so many people doing hard time in county lockup. The unis were marked SJCCF for San Joaquin County Correctional Facility. Just another facet of the show that it's best to overlook I guess.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
Yeah, I thought they said they were at county lockup, but it sure didn't look like it.

Re: Sons of Anarchy -- "Gilead" -- 10/20/09
The Clay/Jax conflict is a copy of a plot line from The Shield which was used towards the end of its run though.
