The Clay/Jax conflict is a copy of a plot line from The Shield which was used towards the end of its run though.

But it's also a copy of a plot line from a play that was around 400 years before The Shield.

Well its relevant because Kurt Sutter worked on both shows.

I don't see how it's all that different to be honest.

I agree that the prison stuff really seemed rushed. That's fine by me, since SAMCRO locked up isn't all that interesting. It did prompt the Jax/Clay feud to a climax, though. Hopefully they got it out of their systems and - after they lick their wounds - come to a truce.
My wild guess is SAMCRO will catch wind that the Irish are double-crossing them and they'll make a deal by ratting them out. There have to be consequences for Opie ripping off the drug dealer. Tara is gradually turning into Gemma. Interesting that Gemma seems to be changing. |

"You ever hear from Kohn? Being a Fed sure is dangerous" (or something to that effect)... real nice finish to that scene. That one line from Jax made me forget all the issues I had with the prison rush job. |

Not only was it laugh out loud badass awesome, it epitomizes what I love about this show. (With a lot of FX shows actually.) They don't treat me like I haven't been watching. They don't treat me like I'm stupid.

Yep. It took me until this episode to remember exactly how Oswald was tied up with SAMCRO as the writers haven't beat us over the head with the implications of the "Fun Town" episode from season one.
I'm OK with showing stuff form the last few shows but when they jump back to an older show I instantly start trying to guess what will happen. |
