CSI: -- "Coup de Grace" -- 10/15/09

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
If your a Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) hater, I have some interesting news:
She will be staying with the show indefinitely

Personally I don't care. She's a tolerable character. As long as Nick, Ray, Greg, Wendy, Catherine and Brass are around, I have no problems.

I guess the ratings aren't responding like CBS had hoped, and that's why Jorja's sticking around.

I'm part of the hater gang. If they have her as a secondary character and let the other CSIs handle most of the workload, I have no objection. She's better than Riley.

Loved the episode. Loved it. The Rube Goldberg-esque reveal was a bit much but the tone, characters, investigations and overall feel about the episode felt 'right.' You know it was a good episode when it's over and you're still wondering about where certain plots headed after the credits roll. It was interesting seeing Tess Mercer in a bit part. I guess despite starring on Smallville she wanted to get her face out to a non-comic book crowd. I thought for sure it was going to be her that shot the guy and her partner was covering for her.
And I can do without ever hearing the phrase Coup de Grace again.
I thought she was booked for 5 or 6 episodes to begin with? We're only 4 episodes in.

Good episode. It was pretty obvious the white cop had not killed that black cop while he was down since they pointed all the fingers at him and he went on a racist rant.

Well I hope everyone is down for Sara becoming a permanent fixture this season. From Ausellio:
Wendy gets the shaft again.
This long-distance marriage thing seems to be working for Grissom and Sara on CSI. Exec producer Carol Mendelsohn confirms to me exclusively that Jorja Fox’s five-episode comeback has been extended indefinitely.
“We will be seeing a lot more of Jorja,” says Mendelsohn. “The season is about bringing the [CSI] family back together again, so [this] was just a natural. Jorja has been the glue that has really helped to reform the bond of our team.”

Already mentioned in post #1 Michael. I don't think it's really going to affect Wendy. She usually gets less than 5 mins of screentime per episode anyways.

Since her addition to the opening credits I was hoping for more than 5 minutes of screentime. With Jorja returning, that's probably even less likely now.
