Re: White Collar -- Season Finale -- "Judgment Day" -- 2/28/12
Including travel and waiting time it takes hours to get on a commercial airliner, far less time than it takes for the bracelet alert. There's no way Neil could have escaped on one, the airports would have been notified to look for him long before he could have stepped foot in first class.

This was actually a pretty good episode. The regular case-of-the-week shows require a lot more suspension of disbelief than this one. At least this cliffhanger has more meat on the bone than the Kate storyline. |

Even without a scene showing Neal emptying his wall safe, which has at least one fake passport, he obviously wouldn't get on the plane under his real name.
Warning of bracelet cut: instant Getting out Neil's picture: half an hour? Neil isn't even at the front door of the airport by then. And don't forget that Neil is strikingly handsome. Mozzie is ordinary looking enough that he won't stand out to a TSA agent or cop looking for him. Not so for Neil. I accept incompetence for the sake of the story, but it still bugs me. |
Re: White Collar -- Season Finale -- "Judgment Day" -- 2/28/12
So is next season all about Peter chasing Neil to arrest him for a third time?
|
Re: White Collar -- Season Finale -- "Judgment Day" -- 2/28/12
No, I think this time Peter is going to save Neil. I think he's going to dig up some dirt on Turner, or at the very least find an alterior motive.

Re: White Collar -- Season Finale -- "Judgment Day" -- 2/28/12
White Collar is not going to alter the formula at all. By the end of the first episode I bet Neil is back in New York working with Peter. It's a breezy procedural with likable characters on USA.

Re: White Collar -- Season Finale -- "Judgment Day" -- 2/28/12
I didn't understand why they had to take the tram back from the island, Peter is an FBI agent, and has a car, he's not taking public transportation.

White Collar -- "Wanted" -- 7/10/12 (Summer Season Premiere)

Wanted, 4.01 <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3eIezM1D9EQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Spoiler:
Just wanted to go ahead and post this for those not knowing the show returns tonight for its summer season. |
Re: White Collar -- "Wanted" -- 7/10/12 (Summer Season Premiere)
 Can't wait.
Entertainment Weekly gave the premiere a ho-hum review. They gave it a B- if I'm not mistaken. Looking forward to another season of Shareef Atkins being credited as a "Special Guest Star" and appearing in every episode. BTW, I'm happy that Matt Bomer finally came out during the off season and can put the rest all the speculation about his personal life. He's a good actor, but his personal life really shouldn't be anyone's business. |
Re: White Collar -- "Wanted" -- 7/10/12 (Summer Season Premiere)
Can't wait either. Looking forward to seeing how they get from the ending of Season 3 back to Neal working for the FBI again.

If I was Sharif, I would sign on the dotted line to be a regular, this is the best gig he will probably get with the most screentime. |
Re: White Collar -- "Wanted" -- 7/10/12 (Summer Season Premiere)
But wouldn't his Special Guest Star status allow him to say take a film role without going through hoops with USA first? Maybe he has nothing planned at the moment but likes keeping his options open.

Then why come out? If his personal life in no one's business, and FTR I agree, then why muddy the waters and give knuckle draggers something to key on. We saw what happened when Ellen Degenerate, I mean Degeneres, came out and it took her years for her career to recover.

:hscratch: Maybe I missed it but when was there ever a big deal or even speculation about this? As for your 2nd question, he was always very vague about it. But, it became more prominent when he was photographed in gossip magazines with his partner and their kids. |

Thought it might also be worth mentioning here that USA picked up Jeff Eastin's (the creator of White Collar) new show "Graceland. They won't start filming until White Collar wraps production. It's expected to debut in 2013. Daniel Sunjata (Franco from Rescue Me) is the lead. |
Re: White Collar -- "Wanted" -- 7/10/12 (Summer Season Premiere)
One of the funnest shows on TV imho. Glad to have it back.

Dude's seriously done nothing of note while being on White Collar - no movies; two or three one episode guest stints on television tops. He's probably foregone a bigger paycheck for four years with nothing to show for it in terms of other projects. I don't believe he's even starred in any pilots - even ones that were not picked up. Very odd choice he's made as far as his status on this show.

Re: White Collar -- "Wanted" -- 7/10/12 (Summer Season Premiere)
 Speak of the Devil, Sharif is finally a series regular.
Not really surprised that they dropped Hilarie Burton. Neal and Sara broke up and honestly it never really felt natural the way they shoehorned her into the plots last season. Anyways, pretty good opening episode. It should have been 2 hours though IMO. That was just cruel to end it with Collins catching up to Neal. I wonder where they shot the Cape Verde scenics at. It looked pretty nice. Enjoyed seeing Neal and Mozzie all scruffed up. And it was nice to see Neal and Peter reunite. Dekay and Bomer have solid chemistry. and I'll say it just because I can, Tiffani Thiessen looked great. Plus, wow that was a pleasant surprise seeing Mia Maestro again. Haven't seen her since the 4th season of Alias. Mekhi Phifer is always good playing a really snarky character. This Collins character was very similar to his characters on Lie to Me and Torchwood. Should be interesting how part 2 wraps up and how the hell they integrate Neal back into the White Collar crime of the week storylines. I do appreciate that this show adds some serialized arcs each season. |

barelypure: Sorry you have some beef with Ellen, talk about random. Like it has been mentioned, it was a big deal that long ago. I sure do feel bad for those others who have come out recently and had their careers tank...I hope the likes of Neil Patrick Harris, Jim Parsons, Zachary Quinto, and Anderson Cooper all get back on their feet soon! |
