Re: Flash Forward -- "137 Sekunden" -- 10/08/09
How difficult would it be for a prisoner to have someone on the outside locate a person who will be a customs agent on 4/29? Pay him 10K or so to lie and say that he had the same vision as the prisoner. Prisoner tells the FBI that they have to let him go and provides the person to corroborate it. FBI confirms story with this person and then procures the prisoner's release.
Considering the scammers that come out after any disaster, this is completely plausible. That FBI agent is an idiot.

On top of all the other idiocies in this episode, here's another one: if they gave the Nazi a pardon for his information, why did it take until Flash Forward Day to repatriate him? And why did he happen to be re-entering the U.S. right at Flash Forward time?

Unfortunately, after thinking over the concept after watching this ultra boring episode - I think we are in for many more episodes just as 'filler' as this one and I believe I'm out.
I'll keep up on the general comments of the show and if I read that it just keeps getting better and better I'll check it out on DVD.

I didn't mind this episode as much as most of you, I guess. Still some entertaining TV. I agree that the Nazi being the only one seeing dead birds was just silly, but that's one of those "24 moments" that you have to go with to enjoy the overall mystery/drama of the show.
If I had to guess, I'd say he was asleep during his FlashForward and dreaming, and he took it as real. LOL But who knows--they have a lot to fill on this storyline between now and the finale, so maybe there's a big conspiracy involved.

I don't remember them mentioning that was all they found, but he is quite insistant that they did, can anyone confirm this??

Some thoughts about the airplanes:
Wouldn't most of them have been alright, since they were on autopilot? Only the ones that were landing or taking off probably would have crashed during the blackout.
And I know they were trying to show that nobody was flying, but the truth is you'd have all kinds of people trying to fly (get to their families, "do you know who I am" business types, etc). The plane would be full -- just as planes were after they opened up flights post-9/11.
Also:
When was the last scene supposed to take place? Somalia 1991? Somalia during the world wide blackout? Somalia in present-day?

In the matter of the flash-fowards, it involved everyone. Every plane. Every person. Many planes crashed, and many died. It is quite a different matter than a somewhat isolated incident that had a definitive shoulder on which to hoist the blame.

The thing that bugged me more than the Nazi and the crows and the kabbalah and all the other minutia, was the fact that they were beating us over the head with the characters names. From when Mark and Janice were talking after arriving at the prison through every scene with them they used each other's names in almost every sentence. Its only week 3, people will remember the names eventually. Apparently the suits were bothered by 'the FBI chick' and 'hot Joe Fiennes' references in forums and would like us to use the characters proper names

ABC picks up more 'FlashForward'
Network gives a back-nine pickup to show
By STUART LEVINE
ABC has given a back-nine episode pickup to "FlashForward."
Drama from ABC Studios has been a solid ratings earner at 8 p.m. Thursday, edging CBS' reality stalwart "Survivor" in the timeslot and is the top 18-34 new drama of the season.
New DVR numbers show the Joseph Fiennes starrer has picked up 2 million viewers including later playback. Sept. 24 premiere jumped to 14.5 million viewers and from 4.1 to 4.9 rating in 18-49 demo.
Numbers have settled down since the launch but that is to be expected in a show as serialized as "FlashForward."
Last week, the Alphabet gave full-season orders to "The Middle," "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town."

Re: Flash Forward -- "137 Sekunden" -- 10/08/09
I mentioned this to DH and he said at some point they mentioned all they found of the daughter was a leg?? When he sees her in his flash forwards she is laying down and you don't see her whole body, his theory is she is still alive, but missing her leg.
I don't remember them mentioning that was all they found, but he is quite insistant that they did, can anyone confirm this??

I'm also confused about the show's timeline. According to the crow graph it's currently mid to late December. I'm assuming tha it's a mistake because nothing on the show indicates 2+ months have passed.
screencap spoilered for size
Spoiler:
EDIT: It's also interesting to note how fast the crow population rebounds, considering crows normally mate annually and even if they started mating right away it would take several weeks for their young to hatch, let alone leave the nest. So it looks like the Audubon Society not only conducts a world wide crow census bi-weekly, but they must count unhatched eggs and nestlings.
Also, I can second the text said Somalia 1991.
