Fringe -- "Fracture" -- 10/01/09

Fringe

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The Fringe crew is flummoxed by the strange circumstances surrounding a bomb blast at a Philadelphia train station, but Walter's discovery in the lab and the prospect of more explosions send Olivia and Peter to Iraq for answers.

Ratings weren't good last week overall, but I read that FOX is happy to be doing better on Thursday's overall with Bones and Fringe than the 5th Grader show/Kitchen Nightmares. So, there is nothing to worry about.

For anyone wondering when William Bell (Leonard Nimoy) is coming back to the show, here's your answer:

Spoiler:

For those anxious to know when exactly Leonard Nimoy will be returning to Fringe, here's an answer: October 8.

Yup, William Bell is returning on the fourth episode of the second season of this odd piece of television (and I mean it in a loving way). Feels nice, really, to know when that return is, since the last we knew is that Nimoy is returning for a handful of episodes. This shouldn't be the last.
To guarantee that, let me explain to you the circumstances of his return. Or should I say return?

Good stuff.

I like how what I thought was going to be a potential "freak of the week" ep became key to the mythology...

Great standalone episode. Cool to see that other people are aware of the other dimensions, even if they don't know they actually exist.

Nah. She was starting to remind me of a female Johnny Smith.

Enjoyed the episodes a lot but I have been reading, that since the move to Thursdays, this has been clobbered in the ratings. I hope they decide to move it back.

Great episode, as others have said it was nice how they tied everything together.

As far as the ratings go, they are so so, compared to last year. The good news is that the DVR ratings came in (from the 1st week) and it looks like the show isnt doing as bad as previously thought.:

Remember that the shows Fringe is going up against are really big as far as ratings go, so Fox was throwing the show into the shark tank. It is holding its own, but I feel this show is getting DVRd while other shows get watched live.
