The American public are just plain stupid. There will be plenty of people that will tune in.

Same here. I don't get the appeal at all.

Even before all the drama I never got the appeal of the show either.

He could argue that without his involvement she wouldnt have a show, books or anything

Don't underestimate the interaction of state law and whatever proof they have of marital infidelity.

My guess is that they're each going to do okay in the very short term. I don't see this Kate Plus 8 show surviving after the rubberneckers move on to something else. The core (original) audience of the show is pretty well represented by the people who have posted here based on the people I know who were into the show -- they started to turn on it when it became about J&K dragging the kids along for more free shit. The people I know who are super into the show at this point are into it for the train wreck factor. No Jon will mean no drama and no interest.

I still haven't seen more than 30 seconds of the show. I guess that makes me the type of guy attracted to commenting on the people who like to watch disasters in the making.

Not in Pennsylvania! I know several women that make more than their ex husbands and they still get a boat load of money every month. The one guy lives just above poverty while his ex is living high on the hog and just got a boob job. Not to mention PA judges will give Kate all the children, we might see Jon when he has the kids every other weekend and possibly Flag day.

I dunno, looks like the show is just Kate for the time being.

If I was running TLC, I would just end the show. Period. The family has become such a trainwreck, and whether they had a hand in that or not, the network will look like they are exploiting the Gosselins if it continues in any way, shape or form.

The money they can squeeze out of even a final handful of episodes is doubtless far more important to them than their reputation is, else they would have ended this debacle at the first sign of the kids being screwed up.

now the latest is that Jon has ordered a cease and desist order, so no filming of the kids.
Never shoulda been a show to begin with. Jackasses.

TLC has always been exploiting the Gosselins and the Gosselins have been exploiting TLC both for monetary gain. I really don't see it ending yet.

Kate does seem to be in the drivers seat. She already got a deal with Paula Dean. So, she may not need the kids anymore.
