NBC More Colorful 2009 slogan?

At first I thought they were trying to promote diversity since a lot of their shows it seems have more actors from different races.

what do people think of this slogan?

NBC's about to get a little "more colorful."

That's the slogan the Peacock plans to roll out next month as part of its fall marketing campaign.

"More colorful" is meant to reference both NBC's Peacock heritage and the net's famous '60s-era bumpers, which promised "the following program is brought to you in living color on NBC."

"Sometimes the most powerful ideas are the ones staring at you in the face," says NBC Entertainment marketing prexy Adam Stotsky. "The Peacock is 53 years old, but has incredible brand equity. "
More than one option

Stotsky says he believes the tagline "more colorful" signifies "innovative programming," and "color is what we strive to do in our programming."

Who gives a shit?

The slogan could be "NBC cures cancer" and I'm still tuning in for just two hours of their primetime programming each week (Thursday night comedies).

I agree. A slogan does not make a network. Programming does, and theirs sucks.

While I watched a great deal of their programming last season*, the only must see is Heroes and that is dangling by a thread especially since they dumped Medium. I do watch Thursday's programming but usually on Hulu since my TiVo HD is devoted to FOX and the CW programming hour-longs that evening. Until Chuck returns, that's it for me.

(Last year - Life, Medium, My Own Worst Enemy, Chuck, Heroes, Knight Rider, My Name is Earl, The Office, 30 Rock, Crusoe)
