Pretty good episode and I really enjoyed the character development with the deaf-girl. I will definitely be sticking around for the entirety of the season.

This was one of the better episodes in a long while. The scenes with the deaf woman were wonderful. Looking forward to see how she develops (with Peter). The Ink story with the broken compass/tattoo is also very good. Nice to finally see Claire tell someone the truth and stand up to her Dad. Good start to the season.

Wow, this was a fantastic episode.
Peter's story continues to be the high point. Personally the fact that it's grounded in some sense of our reality(like the first season) is what makes it interesting. The deaf woman's story seems like it could turn out to be pretty solid. I couple her with Peter since her power doesn't seem to be an "offensive" type thing and fits well within the confines of Peter's "reality." The cello scene was stunningly beautiful and worked great with the score. Coolest scene since Tracy froze the garage.
Parkman's internal struggle with Sylar continued to impress but I doubt this story can go far without it getting stale. I knew something was up the minute Parkman found the girl under the stairs since that is essentially the case that put him on the map as a cop back in the first season. It was a nice twist when at first it felt like a rehash. It will be interesting how far Sylar can push Parkman to insanity before he cracks.
Claire's plot was actually better than usual since she finally stood up for herself and seems willing to accept the result of her actions. It was an interesting contrast to HRG's quick insistence of using powers (the Hatian) to suit his needs.
Again, any episode without a childish Hiro, the Patrelli clan, Mohinder and Micah gets an automatic bump in interest.

Pretty good episode. It's probably because of no childish Hiro. They should only have Hiro back when they are ready to make him a badass.

I have thought both eps so far have been good, particularly this last one.
I don't understand the Tattoo power. Is the ink just Mud? How can the topless chick see the future with mud ink and why is it changing shape into new images when T-Bag isn't around?

Anyone else catch the Sprint commercial for "Slow Burn"? The tattoo lady said that she had a daughter and a tattoo appeared on her arm showing a young girl's face. For a moment I thought it was Claire's new roommate, but I don't think it was.
I also thought that the cello scene was one of the best moments in the series. ever. Hauntingly beautiful, and it is nice to see someone have a power that may just be a gift in itself - nothing to fight crime or do anything super-powered - at least for now.

I really liked this ep as well. After last week's episode I thought about dropping it, but this week sucked me in again. I really liked the deaf woman's story, and Claire and Parkman's were solid as well. For the first time in awhile I can say I'm really looking forward to next week.

I'm extremely surprised that NO ONE has commented on what is bound to be some lesbo exploration between Claire and Gretchen...
I'm not disappointed with how things are going so far... though not much has really happened yet.

That crossed my mind as well. But then again, Claire can't get drunk ... so probably unlikely ...

enjoyed the episode. so far, so good with this show.
thought sylar using parkman's power against him in his head was pretty cool.
still very interested in the carnival crew and now, the deaf girl. +1 on the cello scene. it was creepy and haunting but very well done.
and yay for no hiro and mohinder!

Re: Heroes -- "Ink" -- 9/28/09
unfortunately Hiro is going nowhere
i thought they were going the way of killing him off, but T-bags is recruiting him. peter, claire for his gypsy circus
and yes, everybody detected the lesbionics between Claire/Gretch but i don't think Kring would go this way with the show, maybe if it was the CW (but CW woulda made Gretch a hot bitch)
that deaf chick intrigued me from the jump for some reason
the sprint commercials throughout have gotten rediculous... may as well incorporate some sprint tats
