Ha! I thought she was in the same clothes, just with an added scarf-tie.
I just tuned into this show from last week's episode and it's truly a great show.

Don 1, Peggy 0
Also are there any sites that deconstructs the historical part of the show, like the Eclipse boxes, marriage to avoid Vietnam, etc?

Peggy's story makes me so angry, and it makes me even angrier that she didn't jump ship after Don's dress-down. Such a sad state of affairs for women trying to make it as anything more than secretaries at Sterling Cooper.

Good episode.
LOL at Don having hallucinations after taking those drug pills I was afraid they ran away with his Cadillac.
WTF is Betty doing with that politician. If anything happen between them and Don ever hear of it, the guy might get seriously mad and kill that troublemaker. Don is definitely not the guy you woul'd like to mess with.
Peggy should leave Sterling&Cooper but i don't like her being with Duck.
What about Joan? Was her character taken out of the show?

Sorry I can't get it to link to the beginning of this article which starts on the front page.
Is it bad that every time I see Lane Pryce on screen, I think of James William Bottomtooth?

Well that's what the couple said, that they weren't sure whether there was going to be a draft.
And...is it just me or does Don look like he belongs in The Godfather or Goodfellas whenever he wears those sunglasses?

So what's the importance of naming the episode "Seven Twenty Three"?
Don signed the contract on 7.23 (July 23rd) and they focused in on it - but is there any major significance to it?
Love Cooper's blackmail... "afterall when it comes down to it, who's really signing this contract anyway?". Fantastic line.
Looks like Betty's getting interested in the politician. She buys the "fainting couch" after he points it out to her, and then later gets a little playful with herself on it while probably in fantasy-mode.

It just emphasizes what a huge deal it was (to Don) for Don to give in, and sign the contract.

Something else: People here have said that Weiner has a 5 season plan for Mad Men. As a result, the "three years" could be at the end of the series. So Betty's question about "Do you even know where you'll be in three years?" could have some extra weight upon second viewing if that's the case.
Then again for some reason I expect them to flash forward in the final episode to the present day to show where some characters are...wishful thinking probably.

I really, really hope that they do NOT do that. Something like that works for a show like Six Feet Under, but for Mad Men, it would totally kill what came before - I don't even want to see these characters in the late '60s, much less in present time.

Did anyone else think Betty was going to masturbate when she was in the couch?
I almost did the same watching that, if not because my wife was seated besides me.
