Way better episode than the last two. I think it is starting to develop its own character, so to speak.
Thought the bit with them crashing the hacker conference was pretty good.

Well, I tried something different. Instead of watching this episode directly after NCIS, I kept it on my DVR and watched it later.
It helped but it didn't help a lot. Yes, the stronger episodes of NCIS were knocking the wind out of NCIS: Los Angeles. The problem is the jumpy focus, where as NCIS and JAG always knew how to focus on one conversation or scene at a time.
Its a disjointing to go from one conversation, stop before its over, hop over to another conversation, and then go back and finish the other one.
The cast is large but then again so are NCIS' and JAG's. But in the case of NCIS and JAG they always fnished a conversation or scene before switching to another subject.
Tonights episode for instance, had a conversation with G and Sam talking then before they finish; it cuts to Nate, Kensi, and Hetty talking something else entirely different, The focus then goes back to G and Sam and they finish their conversation.
I tried to stay with it and I know its growing pains but come on, other rookie shows like Mercy and The Good Wife don't have this weird ADD effect with the character focus.

Is there something off about the one females eye? For part of the episode she looked a bit odd but maybe i was too far from the tv or my picture quality wasnt that good.

Ehhhh. While I thought this episode was slightly better than the previous offering, I still dont know about this show. It doesnt seem to have its "rhythm" yet. Whereas NCIS has their formula down pat, This show is still struggling to figure out what peoples roles are. At thsi point, I wouldnt be too heartbroken if this show didnt go further. I think what it needs the most, is some distance from the original. Let it develop on its own. When aired right after the original, it just pales in comparison.

I think NCIS went through the same growing pains as it got comparisons to JAG and alot of people weren't crazy about it's first couple of seasons. NCIS: LA will be fine and get into a rhythm.

This week's was pretty good, with the Blackwater-esque angle and it was great to see Jonathan Adams (Bones) again. But damn, Linda Hunt's character is annoying.
Loved the cute chick's trick with the Blackwater guys.

Apparently CBS made a last minute episode switch.
Fixed the OP.
Jadzia: Can you please change the episode title to "Search and Destroy"

I always love a good Star Trek shout-out and those stakeout cars did stick out.

That was my thought but since the shooter was a pro, I figured she dressed the wound on the fly to avoid folks following the blood trail.

Apparently, I watch too much TV if that's my first thought.
The farther we get into the season, the better I like this show. I still think it's handicapped by being in the timeslot right after NCIS, though.

Hadn't thought of that. I guess I've spent my time watching the wrong shows! I like the fake blood scenario better.
Am I the only person who watches LA but doesn't watch the original NCIS?

Decent episode.
The case itself about the counterfeiting ring in the marine base was pretty interesting, although pretty standard.
The thing that I found interesting was the introduction of a potential love interest for Callen. The show is still very early in it's run and I thought it was a little forced.

NCIS: Los Angeles -- "Pushback" -- 11/10/09

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
I've been really liking NCIS: LA
Alright for anyone how just started watching this season and did not see the backdoor Pilot "The Legend" on NCIS last season, this episode is a continuation of that story arc.
Here is the scene from that episode that applies to this episode:

NCIS: Los Angeles -- "Breach" -- 1/05/10

Synopsis:
Spoiler:
New episode tonight as well. All caught up after being a few weeks behind. Really digging NCIS LA. I think O'Donnell and LL Cool J have really found their groove on this show.
BTW, if anyone has noticed Daniela Ruah's (Kensi) strange looking right eye, I read an article that said she has a birth mark on her right eye.

NCIS Los Angeles 4/6/10
So it looks like they're bringing in a new character
which brings up the question of "what happened to the black guy?"
I mean beyond him getting abducted, I saw that. but there's been no mention of him since
I don't expect the characters, who are professional agents and have seen a lot of bad stuff, to be constantly moping around but it's like the black probie never existed
