Even with a dual tuner HDTivo, I'm screwed.

I like CSI
And now Fringe is now on at 9PM Thursday's!!!!!!!!!!

Seems I have no choice but to DVR one of my fave's and watch the rest on the network websites.

Just Office and Fringe for me. My dual tuner Tivo can handle that...

Thursdays suck bad for me too. It's going to be really hard dropping 30 Rock when the time comes. I'm hoping Fringe does really poorly in it's new time and they move it.

There are like 20 different CSI shows, right? Dump that one or watch the all-CSI channel some other time/night - I'm guessing you wouldn't miss much.

We've got two DVRs with dual tuners, so if we ever had 4 shows we had to watch we'd be okay. But for us, Fringe is all we need.

FRINGE IS ON THURSDAYS?! Geez. So much for my DVR. I'm going to have to Hulu it.

I know why did they move Fringe to Thursdays. Tonight's episode didn't recorded because Survivor ran 1 hour and 1 min, and I had 2 shows scheduled to record at 9pm and Fringe got bumped. This stinks I guess I will have to wait till Fox.com puts the episode up.

Arrrgggg ... I got screwed by that extra Survivor minute too And they didn't even use it for anything. As far as I could tell, even the previews for next week were over with a minute to spare.

Well I'm going to manually schedule Survivor since it looks there doing it all season.

Mine did the same thing... urg.

Fortunately, my Tivo has overlap protection so the extra minute of Survivor gets clipped off so that my 9pm shows will get recorded.

Think the network did it on purpose to screw some people over?

Thursday is the most competitive night on TV again. After NBC dominated the night in the 90s, CBS had the night for a while, but then ABC moved Grey's over and started to take away from that. Now you have FOX putting up a fight and NBC holding their own, and boom, its a disaster!

I'm fortunate that I have no interest in Survivor/CSI, though I will be watching The Mentalist. But since I enjoy both shows on FOX, the NBC block, and I'm going to try FlashForward on ABC along with Grey's/Private Practice, it's not much of a comfort.

At least NBC decided to bow out at 10.

Yeah, I don't see any other reason for this other to fuck with people using DVRs.

I've noticed that CBS shows frequently start a minute or two/end a minute or two late. "Big Brother" did this often.

The extra minute added is for an extra commercial break which means more Ad $$$$ for CBS.

Pretty much every show that adds 1-3 mins of pad, which screws over so many DVR's, are for bonus commercial breaks.

Thursdays are now perfect for me. Survivor, followed by The Office, followed by Community. That's all I watch.

Tell me about it. I wanna catch Fringe, but I watch Supernatural and record The Office. I can't miss Supernatural!
