Wow! I like Lie to Me, but it lost about 50% of House's audience. At least when 24 follows it, it manages to stay in the 10-11M viewer range.
Anyone want to bet Heroes drops below 5M within the next 2 weeks? Episode 19 is pretty much a lock for being the series finale.
That's hilarious that Trauma actually increased off Heroes viewership.

The good news is Melrose Place didn't drop anymore...whew!!
NCIS and NCIS LA are quickly becoming a Tuesday powerhouse.
The Good Wife's numbers are pretty respectable too.

TV ratings: 'Glee' rises, ABC levels off, CBS wins Wednesday
By Rick Porter
October 1, 2009 8:57 AM
Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009
Wednesday night's ratings were significantly cooler than during premiere week, with pretty much every new show and several returning ones falling from their premieres. ABC's "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" still posted solid demographic ratings, though, and CBS' crime dramas led the network to an overall win for the night.
One exception to the downward trend was "Glee," which actually built its audience over last week.
CBS led the night with 11.2 million viewers and a 7.2 rating/12 share in households. ABC (8.2 million, 5.2/9) finished second. NBC (7.1 million, 4.7/8) narrowly beat FOX (7 million, 4.2/7) for third, while The CW took up its usual spot at the back of the pack with 2.2 million viewers and a 1.5/2.
FOX and CBS each scored a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 to tie for the lead. ABC was not far behind with a 2.8. NBC drew a 2.1 to finish fourth, and The CW trailed with a 1.0.
Wednesday night hour by hour:
8 p.m.
ABC: "Hank" series premiere (8.5 million viewers, 5.4/9 households)/"The Middle" series premiere (8.6 million, 5.4/9)
NBC: "Mercy" (7.3 million, 4.8/8)
CBS: "The New Adventures of Old Christine (7.2 million, 4.6/8)/"Gary Unmarried" (7.1 million, 4.5/7)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" (6.7 million, 4.0/7)
The CW: "America's Next Top Model" (3.3 million, 2.3/4)
18-49 leader: "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.7)
9 p.m.
CBS: "Criminal Minds" (13.6 million, 8.6/14)
ABC: "Modern Family" (9.9 million, 6.0/10)/"Cougar Town" (9.1 million, 5.7/9)
NBC: "Law & Order: SVU" (7.9 million, 5.3/8)
FOX: "Glee" (7.3 million, 4.4/7)
The CW: "Melrose Place" rerun (1.1 million, 0.8/1)
18-49 leader: "Modern Family" (3.7)
10 p.m.
CBS: "CSI: NY" (12.9 million, 8.4/15)
ABC: "Eastwick" (6.6 million, 4.4/8)
NBC: "The Jay Leno Show" (6 million, 4.1/7)

With the amount of money NBC is now paying Hargitay and Meloni, the chances of SVU continuing in its present form are probably slim.

I really don't know. By the numbers, maybe not, but then again other shows (like Fringe) have managed to gain some viewers. I guess I didn't expect to see a 20% drop given the amount of positive buzz and reactions after the fact.

With any new show there will always be drop offs in the following weeks. I think FF will probably stabilize in the 9-10M overall viewer range. As long as it does well in the 18-49 demo (3.7 is pretty good), it will be around the rest of this season and get renewed.
Good to see Private Practice do well. 4.5 is really good for the 18-49 demo.

Sunday:
http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethe...ins-night.html
Maybe, just maybe because Amazing Race is second only to 60 Minutes in viewers will convince CBS to do a second race in the Spring.
The premiere of "Three Rivers" on CBS Sunday drew a decent-sized overall audience but not too many younger viewers, while NFL games boosted both NBC and FOX.
NBC won a tight ratings race for the night with 13.1 million viewers and a 7.8 rating/12 share in households. ABC, FOX and CBS all finished within a 600,000 viewers of one another, with ABC (11.3 million, 6.9/11) taking second, followed by FOX (10.71 million, 6.1/10) and CBS (10.69 million, 6.7/11). NBC's and FOX's numbers will change some because of their live sports telecasts. (Note: The CW no longer programs Sunday nights.)
NBC also led among adults 18-49 with a 5.1 rating, edging FOX's 4.8. ABC, 3.5, came in third in the demographic. CBS averaged 2.4.
Sunday's hour-by-hour numbers:
7 p.m.
FOX: NFL overrun/"The OT" (14.8 million viewers, 8.7/15 households)
CBS: "60 Minutes" (12.9 million, 8.3/14)
ABC: "America's Funniest Home Videos" (8 million, 4.5/8)
NBC: "Football Night in America" (7.4 million, 4.3/7)

Every TV-related web site that I have read has officially proclaimed Three Rivers DOA. Even though it had 9.2M viewers, which isn't horrible, I read it got a 2.0 in the 18-49 demo, which was dead last.

TV ratings: 'Dancing' dominates Monday
By Rick Porter
October 6, 2009 8:51 AM
Fast National ratings for Monday, Oct. 5, 2009
"Dancing with the Stars" and "Castle" both saw their ratings grow on Monday -- although that might not last, as ABC affiliates in a few markets were airing "Monday Night Football" instead.
As things stand now, though, ABC won the night by a comfortable margin, and FOX held onto the demographic lead even though "House" took a dip.
ABC averaged 15.7 million viewers and a 10.1 rating/16 share in households. CBS (11.1 million, 7.2/11) came in second, a little ahead of FOX (10.6 million, 6.2/9). NBC was a distant fourth with 5.1 million viewers and a 3.3/5. The CW (2.1 million, 1.5/2) brought up the rear.
FOX grabbed first in the adults 18-49 demo with a 4.1 rating, beating out CBS (3.8) and ABC (3.6). Neither NBC, 1.8, nor The CW, 1.0, made much noise.
Monday's hourly results:
8 p.m.
ABC: "Dancing with the Stars" (17.1 million viewers, 11.0/16 households)
FOX: "House" (13.1 million, 7.6/11)
CBS: "How I Met Your Mother" (8.2 million, 5.4/8)/"Accidentally on Purpose" (7.2 million, 4.7/7)
NBC: "Heroes" (5.4 million, 3.3/5)
The CW: "One Tree Hill" (2.2 million, 1.5/2)
18-49 leader: "House" (5.1)
9 p.m.
ABC: "Dancing with the Stars" (18.5 million, 11.8/17)
CBS: "Two and a Half Men" (13.1 million, 8.3/12)/"The Big Bang Theory" (12.2 million, 7.7/11)
FOX: "Lie to Me" (8.1 million, 4.7/7)
