The gag-reflex line and the decision to cut the Cheerios dry-cleaning budget because local ones are just as good as European ones was hilarious.
I know she's supposed to be irritating but I truly am hoping for dismemberment for the wife after two episodes.

Don't you mean the Cheerios?
Jessalyn Gilsig seems to be a fav of Ryan Murphy. She was even more of a boorish shrew as Gina Russo on Nip/Tuck. I think she's going to be around a while.
I think this show could last, but it will have to struggle with the typical high school show issue - how do you age, graduate and replace students? I mean they all seem to be sophomores now so they have at least 3 seasons but still...

Great episode. The show does have its problems; it could use some work on character development...make the characters less 2-Dimensional. Other than that minor complaint, which I suspect will improve over time, I've enjoyed both episodes thus far. The true reason to tune in though, and why I suspect most people do, is for the brilliant song renditions. Looking forward to next week and more songs.

Again I want to say this show is a winner. I love Ryan Murphy's body of work and this is no exception.
Could it use a little work...sure, but it is only episode #2, I am sure things will balance out.
I am really hopefully Fox gives this show a chance beyond the 13 episodes planned. Fingers crossed.

Considering that in episode two we had a kiss between Rachel and Finn, the infiltration of the Cheerios into the club, the Glee Club getting some preferential treatment, and the revelation that the wife is faking her pregnancy...my god...what else do people want?
"Take a Bow" was an amazing ending to the show. Rachel singing in the hallway was a great thing to cut to throughout her "practice".
Goddamm I love this show.

I have to agree, it is still episode 2 there is 11 more to go. But if the first two are any indication (and Ryan Murphy's track record), I think everyone will be pleased.

The only thing that bugs me is the lip syncing. All of the actors do their own singing; several are well-known Broadway actors. So why not let them sing LIVE? (Well, live as they are recording it, anyway) I understand that some scenes will require pre-recorded audio, but does it have to be so over-produced?? The scene where they rehearsed the Kanye West song was very jarring.

I begrudgingly watched the premier online, but enjoyed it. This episode was no different. In fact, I think I laughed more during this episode. The previous puker, the gag reflex, the audience dancing during the gym scene, grape eating and the coach's "inspirational" speech had me laughing!

Apparently last night's ratings were higher than those of So You Think You Can Dance. Nice!

I put this episode on my DVR to check it out. I didn't think that it would be that great. I hadn't heard or seen much about it.
Half way through the episode, I put it on season pass. Great show.

I thought the pilot was just okay, but I could NOT sit through this episode - i got about half-way through and had to fast-forwarded the rest. I found it to be completely shrill and utterly annoying - a couple laughs here and there, but not enough for it to be worth sifting through the crap. I deleted it from my season pass.

I'm loving it! I can't stop smiling the whole damn show! Can't wait to see more of the Cheerios.
One thing, I am still confused whether the one glee member is a boy or girl, Kurt I think? I guess it's a boy but it's definitely ambiguous.

They certainly moved things along at a brisk pace: the baby reveal, the revelation that the flirting between the teachers really couldn't go anywhere, the sexual tension between Rachel and Finn, the infiltration of the Cheerios, and even the "demotion" of Rachel, were all things that I think everyone expected, just not in one episode. I even thought the Rachel/Finn scene was a dream sequence at first. I'm glad they're not dragging anything out. Even the "working a second job as a janitor to afford a new house" bit only lasted one episode, thankfully.
The gag reflex thing was a little risque, but funny. I also liked the coach giving the reasons why he was such a catch, including that he was a minority and thus had job security and could provide for her. The idiocy of the celibacy club, the misdirection with Finn and Rachel being caught and getting in trouble, the pamphlets, the joke about the foreclosures, and for some reason, the run over mailman all made me laugh.
