After a week off we get yet another blindside. This one really caught John by surprise. Not to mention Shambo.

Sorry to BadlyDrawnBoy, better luck next season.

And we're down to 8. Monica is still in the game and either she's riding coattails to the end or she'll get dumped very soon. It would take a massive change in gameplay for her to win this. I think Jaison or Russel take this home.

I'm still convinced if Russell makes it to the final 3, he'll have it regardless of who he stabs in the back. That said, if he gets booted, it's almost anyone's game.

I'd love to see Mick win, he's been a solid player, kept himself under the radar and not getting dramatic with people.

As much as I'd like to see Brett win to win the DVDtalk game, I can't honestly say I'm rooting for him. He's been nonexistant on the screen, and I honestly am pulling for Russell to win.

Which means of course that Brett will win. :)

^That wouldn't surprise me. That guy is the definition of a low key gamer. I bet most people like him personally (just assuming since they haven't shown him stir the pot at all). If he can make it a little deeper and make a power play I wouldn't be surprised to see him take it all.

Having said that, Survivor editors wouldn't ignore the guy who makes it to the final 2 or 3 as much as they have been ignoring Brett.

Maybe so, and maybe my memory is wrong, but did Sandra or Vecepia get a ton of screen time? I remember Sandra getting in a fight, and Vecepia too, but I don't really remember them getting huge amounts of coverage. Then again, it was a long while back...

I wouldn't think so either, but I think it's less about them ignoring Brett than it is about them focussing on Russell--their BIG ratings maker right now. If he were gone, they'd focus on everyone more. But right now, it's almost the Russell Show. :)

And to be honest, that's pretty much the main reason why I'm enjoying this season now. You've got to admire the titanium set it took to wear the HII and then NOT play it. My wife and I thought he might've left then, but nope. Admittedly, there are only two episodes left, but if Russell goes, it just won't be as enjoyable.

These Survivor editors are getting really good at throwing you off. :)

When I saw him take out that necklace and put it around his neck, I thought it was an idiot play. But the more I thought about it, I realized it was brilliant. He effectively pushed votes away from him for the round because everyone realized a vote to him had a strong chance of being vetoed. Then, he gets to play it next round, ensuring his place another few days.

I'd still be very surprised if he made it to the very final 2 or 3, but if anyone could do it, he could.

I do think it was a HUGE mistake though telling anyone what he did for a living. He should have just said he worked on an oil rig. He could have told all his stories without the need to admit he owned the thing! :P

Double whammy this week and the old Galu falls.

Big immunity win by Brett to keep him in the game but it ultimately was the reason Monica had to go... despite her scrambling. :(
